May I point out that the SHTF usually on a Monday or Tuesday, to better utilize cameras and the workweek. Sundays are peoples' day off, meaning that nobody will be watching the news, nobody will be listening to the radio, or absorbing any form of mass media. They're doing yardwork, home repairs, driving, etc. On Mondays or Tuesdays, they're working, sitting at a desk, and their attention is easily gotten. Also, with something happening on Monday or Tuesday, you're got the rest of the work week's prime time air slots to fill with it.
I've heard this from a few insiders on documentaries. Why waste a perfectly good scenario when half of the world won't be watching their TVs or sitting at a desk, waiting to get sucked in?
I personally think that whatever they've got planned, it's going to be today or tomorrow.
