how close till rogue scientist leave earth alone and colonize a planet by himself?

I dunno, think about it, there are scientists out there that have alot of information at their disposal. Some have info and knowledges on how to build star trek enterprise type ships, some have information on how to create oxygen rich environments on rogue planets and some are on the cusp of building robot slaves.

So how close are we to rogue scientists sayin "fyck earth im leavin" and just leave with a woman or by themselves in their own built ship, settling on their own planet and having a robot slave build them a biodome system...

Wouldn't it be fycked up if lets say in 30 years mankind finds it's first habitable planet only to discover that it's already been taken by a rogue scientist who has the entire planet prepared to fight against intruding humans?
