Sorry it wasn't about gay marriage, obama, reality tv or treyvon martin. Maybe that would have peeked your interest huh? The fact is this can't be talked about enough. Thankfully there are a lot of smart people who come to GLP otherwise no one would know about the threat to our existence that is Fukushima Reactor 4 |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1140757 Babies, what I DO NOT UNDERSTAND is, why they do not take these rods from the roof? and bring them to an another place?! are they fucking dumb, of what?????????????????? The technology DOESN'T EXIST to move them and keep them cool at the same time in their present condition. Simple as that. Also remember, the entire reactor core had been moved into the fuel pool shortly before the earthquake. So there is plenty of active material in there as well as the more dormant spent fuel rods. It's really criminal that these plants are allowed to be built without having any sort of emergency plan to deal with these types of issues. It's not like this couldn't have been foreseen especially in a seismic area like Japan. Why the hell was this allowed to be built? GE TEPCO and all these companies need to be held accountable Won't stop the inevitable, unless by "held accountable" you mean "the executives are forced to work in the plants" Sounds like a damn good idea! will make these bastards think a little harder next time they choose money over the safety of the world. |

It's was a strange thing to proclaim at the time. Now we see clearly... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16463586 I was thinking about this as I was reading. What if his wording of "must go into the sea" was used for this reason. It would take a massive evacuation, and I'm not sure how much damage it would do to the ocean, but I doubt they would do it. Only time will tell what is going to happen with it. The better thing would be, to put it not in the see, but in the earth! But how? Though, when the scientists do not know, what is really happening there, for how long it will continue and how, which consequences it will have a.s.on, so, there is only one possibility: scientists have to go there and make some reports about it, what they can observe......well, a hard and very dangerous job, but are not many, many other people working in dangerous jobs? Every pilot is in danger to fall from the sky....so.....Japan scientists have there to be and to WORK!!!! |

I ran nuclear reactors in the Navy, and nobody ever even dreamed that there could be a fuck up on this scale. But here we are. +1 Well, look at it this way. Humanity will have a Darwin Award! |

I think your brain has shrunk... ~ wb Brain shrinkage seen in Tohoku PTSD cases Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1295673 [link to www.japantimes.co.jp] [snip] Emotional stress over last year's deadly quake and tsunami in the Tohoku region caused the brains of some survivors to shrink, according to scientists in Japan who had a unique chance to study the neurological effects of trauma. On a quest to better understand posttraumatic stress disorder, the researchers compared brain scans they had taken of 42 healthy adolescents in other studies in the two years before the disasters new images taken three to four months after they hit. Among those with PTSD symptoms, they found a shrinking in the orbitofrontal cortex, a part of the brain involved in decision-making and the regulation of emotion, according to a study published Tuesday in Molecular Psychiatry, a branch of Nature. ~ |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 16510993 United Kingdom 05/22/2012 02:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The only temporary solution for this is to plant atomic demolition charges around a suitable perimeter to the reactors, and blow them out into the sea, and down the Japan Shelf, into the depths. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16448947 This will, of course, kill the oceans, but might give us 50 years to a century to figure out some more effective remediation. Still, better to submerge this horrible shit in thousands of feet of seawater, than have it vapourized and blowing around the planet, on the wind. You think those who wrote Georgia guide stones and orchestrated fuku know a fix to this? Would they even allow it? 2012 saga is no joke. Something is coming and they know it. This pollution along with their planned false flag later on is planned to do the world in. They don't want humanity to evolve. |
