Did the Blue Kachina Dance in the Plaza after all? Two people take similar images during Eclipse..
I have been musing and posting about these images since yesterday. So some of you may have already seen these images.

Today, another poster came forward saying her niece took a similar image.

The 'blues' are identical to each other.

I took these photos from Northern California yesterday. I have NO IDEA what this blue orb is that started to appear from the right and then move across the sky.

I have to ask. Is it the Blue Kachina?

Just thought I would share.

[link to www.flickr.com] <---photostream. 20 or so images of this thing flying around.

Thoughts?

I have to tell you that I used NO photoshop to bring out the blue hue of the object. I used no special filter and in fact didn't realize what I had until the photos were taken. The blue could not be seen with the naked eye.

People have suggested it's a reflection or the moon. It appears too round to be the former and too small to be the later. Further, it moves around all over. Since I didn't change position and only a few seconds elapsed between photos, the suggestion that it's the moon is unlikely.

My niece took a picture very similar to yours. Blue as blue and no photoshop. Interesting.

Here is a link to the second image. I am waiting for the upload then will post 2 images here.

The Blue Kachina is rumored to be Sirius.

A Holy star in Many cultures.

Here is an image of Sirius A.

Notice the blue color.

Here is an image with Sirius 'removed' yeahsure Where you can see the Blue color a bit better.

it looks alot like the annular eclipse
could it be a reflection on the lense of the camera, and the main image of the sun is so bright you can't see the real eclipse?

not sure why it's blue though

Re: Did the Blue Kachina Dance in the Plaza after all? Two people take similar images during Eclipse..
very interesting ... thank you for bringing it to our attention ... no way to argue - it is definitely BLUE !

and the fact that it was "removed" certainly peaks my interest

I don't know about the rest of you, how you are connecting the dots ... but they all seem to be painting the same picture ... and it seems evident enough to me that 2012 will be all that it is predicted to be and more ...

if you can't "move" ... then please arrange to be somewhere safe, by mid December ... take your "vacation" time then, and go to the Mountains ... if nothing happens, then you can enjoy your time in nature ... if something does happen you will be better off than stuck in the burbs - not to mention downtowners ... with no way out ...

I am sure that we will get more "warnings" (signs and omens) as the year progresses ... but you should make plans now to be away from the coast lines, fault lines, volcanoes ... away from large concentrations of people prone to panic ... Take as much food as possible with you ... things will get crazy when people get hungry ... but I imagine most of it will be sorted out in two weeks ... and you can return home, if it is still there... I doubt that there will be anyone to "kick you out" - or any "law enforcement" for another three months ... so you want to be out of harm's way ...

like they say, no one plan's to fail ... they just fail to plan

I could understand it being a reflection off the lens if the eclipse of the SUN was at the same stage.

The Sun still looks round to me. Not eclipsed that fully.

I believe one of the photographers mentioned that it could not be seen with the naked EYE being that the Sun was so bright.

Funny seeing you here Anubis.

Someone mentioned you to me the other day and I had no knowledge of you.

A normal camera that most people have would not have the capability to lower the exposure enough to get a clear image of the annular effect even if you were in full annular viewing area. So the sun was in the same phase as the reflection that is showing up in these photos.

Here's a link to the original series of photos. The only one tampered with in any way is the darker one which I saturated with color to distinguish the eclipse from the blue sphere. The iridescent blue color is precisely what was captured by the camera and is in stark contrast to the surrounding grayness of the sky. As the intervening time between frames was a matter of seconds and as my position did not change, it would appear that the sphere moved rapidly and independent of the camera.

[link to s1147.photobucket.com]

The photos are in the order in which they were taken, so you can have an idea of how it moved through the sky and would sometimes disappear.

I really appreciate the honest and thoughtful interest on this forum. I have no idea what this is, but I cannot accept that it is a lens flare as it is way too 3 dimensional for that.
