Yet, they buy into everything that science has to say without ever questioning anything they hear. The fact is most Science is WRONG. It's a bunch of theories that are often replaced by new theories that will eventually be replaced by even smarter theories from some dipshit academic who has no clue about life. In the end all they are left with are theories. I for one don't believe shit when someone tells me something has been scientifically proven. To me all that means is that some close-minded eggheaded bastard believes his theories to be above all other theories and screw anyone that says otherwise. This Nuclear disaster should show you how smart these eggheads actually are. Not one of them among the bunch can come up with a viable way to fix the problem and not one of them thought it was a good idea to have a plan to fix ta scenario like this before they built the technology. It comes down to a fundamental flaw in mankind. No one knows what the hell they are doing but we all try really fucking hard to pretend that we do. Well said...5*'s.  |

But to the larger point of how its effects humankind..... to try to pretend that all these things have helped us is not really a good argument since I can argue just the opposite. Those things you talk about are all material things and do nothing to nurture the soul or the human condition. They do nothing to spread love, romance, & imagination.... I would argue that they actually in large part keep us from living a natural life. I spend more fucking time behind a computer working than I care to think about! Yep science has really helped out a lot.... First cholesterol is bad for you.... then wait no there is a good cholesterol..... oh wait no the latest research says that may not be true either. Yet they fool the gullible into taking cholesterol lowering medications with no proof that they actually do anything to prevent heart attacks. In fact, the latest research shows they may actually cause more than they stop. Then you look at a country like France (french paradox for the scientific type) where they do everything that science says not to do (eating fatty foods, drinking large amounts of alcohol, etc...) and they have little heart disease. The fact is science has done very little to extend life. The average lifespan is what 77.... I wouldn't call that a major victory. And what had science done to make that life worth living? From the looks of it there are a lot of miserable fucking people in this world! And since you are so confident in science keeping you alive (which it won't since we will all meet the same fate).... you might want to look into life after death! Don't think science will do much for you there. I'm just saying! But hey you lay your bets on science. |
