Science has benefited us all. Religion has benefited us all. Both are now theoretical monstrosities comprised of lunatics and fanatics for the most part. Stand up and be counted or sit down and stfu. Change only happens when one realizes that we live in an imperfect world and then strives for perfection. We will not change this mess over night, but just the realization that changes are needed is a step in the right direction. Don't condemn any one group, we are all in this together.

Wonder if we will reach an evolutionary brick wall where we just cannot learn or comprehend any further advances in our understanding of physics, mathmatics, or any thing else. I am pretty impressed with the strides we have taken and achieved in the last several decades. Especially considering our redundant barbaric natures.

science is close but not perfect. nothing is 100 % correct in science yet because we do not understand everything...it's getting closer but still far far away...that said a know it all scientist is a moran, because they do not, but will try to make you believe they do...they're just people who chose to study something different, not necessarily smarter than you

It is unlikely we will hit a brick wall, we've reached a time and age where the breeding of different races is acceptable which proliferates the variety of our genes which will lead to greater intelligence of our species. We are so diverse there is no end to this cycle, it is a positive feedback loop. The weak and ignorant will die off but not without a pitiful internet fight.

If science is so wrong, then how come your computer let alone literally every other thing we're all surrounded by every single day of our lives... works? Science doesn't claim to know everything. How sit works is, it keeps building upon itself. Scientists WANT others to find faults in theories (gravity is only a theory as well) ... that's how the method refines them and makes them more and more accurate. Science doesn't claim to BE the actual territory that it maps out like religion does. A map is just that: a set of defined parameters we use to describe what we experience. And like all ,maps it gets more and more refined but will NEVER claim to be the actual territory it works to define. When a theory is proven wrong, that's GREAT because it means science is still working and moving forward, creating more and more accurate (but never complete) maps of reality. Anyone who thinks that it always gets proven wrong until the next crackpot academic comes up with another hair-brained idea isn't paying attention to the HUGE advances it's made in that past 2000 years. Science doesn't like religion claim to know everything, it claims to figure out, little by little more and more, slowly through time, making our lives longer and more interesting. I'm a Christian and have a PhD in neuroscience. I realize you're probably some troll, but this is downright scary if you're actually serious. Ever stop to think that God didn't create the world with bubbles and confetti but is actually the single greatest Engineer in all of existence? Learning science brings me closer to God, not farther away. Science is fascinating and really shows just how powerful and magnificent he is. I'm very curious to know what you think we're made out of. If not cells than what? Do you urinate? That's science too. Can you physically see the sun? That's science. But you're right. Maybe it doesn't really exist since it's just "theory." I mean, can you physically PROVE that the giant light in sky is not an angel spinning around and singing bringing light to the world? Oh, by the way have you ever had a vaccine? Science saved your life. Ever been hospitalized? Hope you don't in the future, because believing that science is fake would mean it would be "ungodly" to receive any medical attention whatsoever. I mean, it's not like a defibrillator has been "proven' to work so we'll just let you die. Silly science. Do you wear contacts or eyeglasses? Science. If you wear contacts and don't believe in science, then wouldn't that be "sinful" as well? Silly science. True Christians believe that God created the world. And that world is fascinating and created. As in, it was formed in a particular and fascinating way. We are fearfully and wonderfully made.

On a related note-
I read Denialism awhile ago and the guy did his best to explain how wrong it is to fear science and scientists, which I conceptually agree with.
But the meat of the matter (to me) was totally ignored - that who is funding and deciding the direction of the science can be very scary indeed!
Don't mind that predator industries like casino groups fund neurobiology research, don't care that the oil and gas industry employs the best of the best at their state of the art labs, and same with all large death-dealing industries.
When something practical and useable is discovered, it's shuffled away never to be heard of again. Most recent example I remember is the "skin gun" that heals horrific burns in a few days as if nothing had happened. Cheap and easy tech, life changing for people destroyed by burns, but it isn't being used in any significant way. There are at least hundreds of examples like that.
I see that science is used against, rather than for mankind.

All it will take is a solar event on the same scale as 1859 and then all the nuclear power plants will be melting down.But all the experts that backed the official 911 story proves "science " is trumped by politics.

The simple fact remains that because of the scientific method nothing in science can be comparable to doctrine within religion.

There are no sacred "truths", just the most rational and best fitting explanations we currently have. And to be honest that is a rather good thing simply because doctrine only causes problems when new information becomes available (eg. the reaction of Christian fundamentalists when Galileo essentially discredited geocentrism or the reaction of Christian fundamentalists on how evolution essentially discredits the idea that a god created humans out of mud).
