How did the word *Hate* become a word used to describe Christian People?
These 2 words:

Hate and Intolerance are spread around the country like a virus to describe usually people who are focused and dedicated to the preservation of GOD's commandments on Moral Living in the Holy Bible....

Who did Jesus Christ say were the *True Haters*

Mark 13:13

All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Matthew 10:22
All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Isaiah 66:5 Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at his word: "Your brothers who hate you, and exclude you because of my name, have said, 'Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy!' Yet they will be put to shame.

Matthew 24:9 "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.

1 John 2:9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.

1 John 2:11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.

Re: How did the word *Hate* become a word used to describe Christian People?
Many Christian DO hate. Just because you do/think you walk with God doesn't mean you aren't capabable of being hateful.
CHRISTIANS (Not God) perhaps have the longest history of non-racial hate when compared to any other group ever. 9yes including radical islam).
CHRISTIANS have likely killed, tortured, and opressed more peoples than any other non-racial group on the planet, SPECIFICALLY over their religious beliefs. (This is excluding peoples of every group who simply "break" and go on a massive killing spree that has literally to connection to their religious beliefs).
That's kind of just facts.
Even as a christian I can admit that.
Christians now feel hated when prayer is banned from schools. As if THAT is comparable to what Christians have done. (I do believe it is wrong, and that it IS a sort of religious hate. However, people act as if they are being opressed by the great satan himself through his evil atheist minions. When they clearly forget the far more aweful history many christians have left the world.)

It sucks, and we should fight against ALL hate.

I don't hate anybody but when christians constantly badger the non-christian about converting his faith and then condemning him to some imaginary suffering for eternity just because he doesn't agree, i can see why hatred would soon begin to simmer.

As a christian it is not your priority to push crap on other people. You'd win a lot more souls by keeping quiet, practicing your goodness, and remaining aloof. People are attracted to that sort of thing. The second you start preaching is the very second you start inciting hatred.

where did he say that? hahah

Christian makes irrelevant arguments to everything.

He said NON-racial hate.. once again NON racial hate
"If by the liberty of the press were understood merely the liberty of discussing the propriety of public measures and political opinions, let us have as much of it as you please: But if it means the liberty of affronting, calumniating and defaming one another, I, for my part, own myself willing to part with my share of it, whenever our legislators shall please so to alter the law and shall chearfully consent to exchange my liberty of abusing others for the privilege of not being abused myself."

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:9 "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.

Here I will shorten it for you.

Christians have been the most hateful religious group in history. Does not mean every Christian is hateful, but as a whole the religion tends to sprout hate.

Because you hate everyone else.

Give and it will be given right back.

Last time I checked, condemning everyone to hell for who or what they are or do isn't love, but bigoted hate.

Re: How did the word *Hate* become a word used to describe Christian People?
Children tend to do the opposite of what they are told. Likewise,Christians are told to spread peace and goodness, forgiveness, and not to judge and all sorts about god, and to live by Christ's example, yet the persecution the receive stems from the persecution they give. Just because others don't agree with you, does not mean you're being persecuted. Prayer does not belong in public, or do you not remember Jesus being quoted on that. Not being like the pharisees and the j e ws, who stand on street corners and prostrate. If you want children to pray in school send them to a catholic school. Besides, if you're not an orthodox or Roman catholic, you're not a real christian, and that's historical fact.

And no, I'm not a Christian, but if someone wants to be, they should at least do it right.

Somewhere along the line hate got redefined to include any action or statement that offends some minority group's delicate sensibilities.

We must now give a hug and say that we love all degenerates, bank robbers, rapists and so on and make a generous monetary donation to their cause. Anything less is now considered "hate."
