let me sum up that whole Ghost shit in a simple equation:

Ghosts = demons

Religious folk love to scare themselves by making everything about demons and devils.

You are right OP...no such thing as human spirit haunting. Demons are doing satan's business

I do not believe that the only explanation is demons. That is just as absurd. I do think that is an element to many hauntings if not most. I could see many mainstream ghost hunting shows trying to ignore that aspect.

You will see many Ghost Hunters tell the family to contact them if them certain things occur of if they need other assistance. There are Ghost Hunters that try to debunk but then they have a more religious and psychic team that they do not film if they truly believe they have a dangerous situation.

I think they are interested in determining if the place is haunted and if they can get "proof". Most of the time they will tell the family or owner that it is not a dangerous situation but to call them back if they feel threatened.

so what about people who have seen the spirits of relatives or loved ones who have recently passed on that have come back to let them know they are ok or in a better place? i guess those are demons too...

I've wondered about that myself, OP. You NEVER hear positive ghosty accounts....usually the inhabitants of a haunted abode talk about negative energy, feelings of dispair, drained/fatigue, fear, helplessness....

Besides that it does make sense that demons would pose as someone more earthly, as not to be cast out... My only disagreement is that the human spirit is eternal, and exists on a plane superimposed over this one, so to me, it would not make sense that human spirits could not easily venture to this plane of existence (not like they havent been here before in a past life) to visit/guide/observe this world.

OK, explain this, if human spirits don't leave some kind of mark on certain areas...

When I was a kid, my folks had a beach house on the gulf coast. We spent summers and holidays there regularly. One hot summer night when I was about ten, I was awakened from a sound sleep by the sounds of voices and music. When I opened my eyes, it was like I was lying on a bar or buffet table, surrounded by a milling crowd of about 100 people. They were mostly transparent, but very detailed. Their clothes were of a style popular around a century earlier.

I held very still because I could tell I was seeing spirits. They were talking and laughing, eating and especially drinking. It was weird because they were coming over to where I was to get food, and at first that kind of freaked me out, but there was no contact between us...it was clear that they could not perceive me. I could see my room clearly, but superimposed over it was their space - a big barnlike looking place, obviously a public hall of some sort. I looked at the clock at one point, and it read a little after 1 AM.

I watched them for about 20 minutes, and was getting bored and sleepy - adult parties and adult lies didn't much interest me (still don't), and I was about to doze off again when, right before 1:30, a scuffle started at the back of the spirit room: two drunk men had gotten into a shoving match over a female. She was drunk, too, and seemed delighted by this. The fight quickly turned ugly and spread through the crowd, initially from some who were trying to get the fighters out the door, and then there was disagreement over how this should be done...more pushing and shoving, and then an outright brawl ensued, most of it blocking the door. I heard, but did not see, breaking glass, and screams of "Fire!" I gathered someone had knocked over an oil lamp...I watched people rushing the door and getting tangled up in the fight.

Then *poof* - the scene vanished and I was left lying in my bed wondering what the hell I had just witnessed. It was well over an hour later that I had calmed down enough to go back to sleep. I remember watching the moon as a crescent even with the eaves outside my bedroom window as I tried to figure it out, and repeatedly coming to the conclusion that I had just seen a whole room full of ghosts. I was already having problems with my "family" in regards to my paranormal abilities, so I didn't mention this to anyone. Over the rest of that summer, I was to experience shorter versions of this phenomenon twice more - each lasting just a few minutes before fading away, each before the fight broke out, but I could tell from the conversations that it was exactly the same scene. After that summer, I never again saw it, or anything like it.

A couple of years later, I was working a summer job near a famous, century old tavern, and I would go there to get a hamburger and coke after work when I could afford to. I typically sat at a table in the bar, avoiding the pricier restaurant portion, and one day I was in there when I overheard a couple of men discussing local history mention that 90-something people had been burned up in a fire at a tavern similar to this one, but located near a historic pier near my home. The guy telling the story said they didn't know how the fire started or why the people couldn't get out.

At this point, I got up and asked if it was possible that there could have been a fight and an oil lamp broken, and if so, would the fire have spread that fast. The guy looked at me with surprise and said he had heard that theory before and it fit the character of the place, but there was no way to prove it, although it seemed likely. He asked me why I asked, and I just shrugged and said that I just had a feeling about it. But for me that was pretty much complete confirmation that this event had happened exactly as I had seen it, and for some reason, chose to replay itself a few times over the course of one particularly hot and doldum-y summer. I guess they just wanted their story to be known.

Ghosts are ghosts. What you should be more worried about is that the veil between worlds has started to wear away.

Jinn can create UFOs, hallucinations, psychokinetic effects, cattle mutilations, crop circles, apparitions and other paranormal phenomena.

Cant scientifically or even rationally prove that what is on the other side of that Ouija board is a human / or a non human entity (demon or God/Goddess what ever your spiritual convictions are..) (why popular T.V. Ghost hunters are so reluctant to use this ancient analog devise is kinda confusing, Do they consider digital better or more provable in the end? Casting salt circles, candles, and using Ouija boards will always be better IMHO)

This is my main concern and warning:

Once you open the door with Ouija boards you will undoubtedly have demanding and threatening conversations.. The early days when you start pushing people into this mysterious light only they see everything seems fine cause you think you are helping them receive their eternal peace. Keep doing that for a while with your friends and you start to get demands... dark demands and so called of the light demands.. of the light demands are messed up. At least when you talk to a evil/of the bad non human entity you know it... "Die".. "I hate you"... blah blah blah. But The so called Good spirits will eventually seriously ask you for a spiritual marriage at some level. When your being asked to marry an "angel" ,"God" or "Goddess" and become one with them I suggest you tap out at that moment and say Goodbye.

Humans die and go smewhere else entirely. Another realm or dimension, and their body(and worldly concerns) are GONE. That's why you NEVER EVER hear from anybody who has died, ever again. Their body is GONE. Their human mind is GONE. They couldn't come back if they wanted to because they have no interface(body) with this dimension. I don't know what these infrared creatures are that we are detecting with night vision cameras, but they aren't human.
