I agree 100%. My husband and I are separated though, and if we end in divorce, I don't see myself finding a good enough man to replace him. Sure he has his issues, as do I, and we just can't seem to make it work, right now anyway, dealing with of death, illness and just a huge amount of stress in our own families, but men these days are crap. I have many female friends and all of their husbands are damned lucky to have the wives they have. I rarely see a marriage where the woman is the truly lucky one. Rarely. The guys all take their wives for granted too and secretly pine for other women, and hell some of them blatantly do! They want mommies and maids and they want to be "men" too, it's just not worth it for the woman unless she can find a good man, and that takes PLENTY of time and wisdom to know when you've found a good one. I don't see myself ever being in a relationship with "today's men" out there.

I am so very glad to hear that:) I agree that it is orchestrated and women are not blameless in this mess. I look at it all and think why would we expect anyone to be able to grow up in this society and be able to get what marriage really means.

I am at a low point with this myself. I should be doing more housework and playing with the kids more but after 16 years (10 of that being with someone who literally barely allows me out of the house). I comply with his unspoken "rules" partly because I am doing my best to be a submissive wife (nothing religious, just the role I think the woman agrees to in marriage) and partly because I know all of the different bullshit I will have to put up with just to be let out of my prison/home. My rebellion comes out in the form of GLP (lol) and laziness. I lose interest in being the house slave while everyone else sits around watching TV or pursuing an interest. Just fed up, wished things were the way they are supposed to be, knowing why they're not and wondering if they ever will be.
