I am at a low point with this myself. I think if every man showed his wife respect and love for their whole marriage (and of course she reciprocated:), their children wouldn't have to be "taught" how to be good spouses, that is all they would know or desire. If parents bought 2.5 acres of land for each of their children and established a small home for them there, their children could move into their own home when they were ready and start preparing their homestead. Establishing an ecosystem on their land growing food, herbs/medicines and preparing themselves for their future spouse would make them much more noble and respectful people without the burdens of financial stresses that so often impair young people to a point of debilitation. This is what parents should be giving their children instead of a college education. If they want to go to college, they can get a job and pay for their tuition since most of their living expenses would already be covered i.e food, water, shelter. I just wish I had known this is where I should have started when I turned 18 instead of wandering out into this vast, horrible world to find my purpose when it was waiting within me all along. If I can do anything for my children before I leave this world, it will be this.

I agree with everything. I hope I can provide that kind of security for my kids. Once shelter is taken care of, it is so much easier to survive, though certainly not easy if there will be no jobs then. Who knows. Either way, they can live with me as long as they need to or want to. I think parents should try to do this sort of thing for their kids.
