I highly doubt that a lot of the Muslim women who were born here and enjoy their American lives would want to be judged in a court of Sharia law if ever they needed to defend themselves. They may not speak up for fear of backlash from some in their communities and a few just may prefer Sharia (stupidity can be found anywhere) but it is up to American citizens of all religions or lack thereof to keep this from happening. We are to be equal under OUR laws of this land.

The most a religion can do is shun. It's still illegal for a church to hold someone against their will or make them work like a slave, etc...against their will. That's been a problem with Scientology. A church can ex-communicate or shun but cannot hand out punishments (but can suggest a few hail-Marys).

Maybe clean the church or something but the person can refuse and be kicked out, ect.

As a Muslim I don't mind sharia law because it is not that different from today laws (speaking in my country of course) but the punishments are very harsh and also the judges or whoever they are, are very very extremist and radicals and their minds is closed... They can judge to kill you just because they want to or they think you're evil for some unknown reason. Islam is a religion of forgiveness, love and peace but those mother fuckers are making it look like it is the most evil religion in the history!

They protest in streets and do shit, but most of my country is against it. Then they started targeting the wealthy families
that own cars, pools, houses, companies... They started accusing them of having relationship with the west and worship Satan and all that bullshit. and that's when I packed my baggage and took a plane to here in Malaysia. I've been living peacefully with people from all religions here and I love this country so much.
