Re: Are you a thread killer?
Hi K.Kool - I should mention that dancing in Santa Fe is not like big city nightclub dancing.

I love it more actually. But it is always live music, rock or blues, no DJs - although I love DJs but just a different way here. Blue jeans and boots are the norm, in places that are really casual, saloon style. People just get up and dance, without a care about having a partner.

And not a pretentious person around. And I have been in some pretentious places, so I truly appreciate this. You've got twenty somethings tatted and inked and the seventy year old true blue cowboys, all having a good time together. It is very friendly. I often come home with a bunch of names and numbers I've been given thru the night and usually can't remember who they are, haha! Just people that want to be friends.

I think you'll like it.

AND TRICKY! Thanks so much for the movie - I look forward to watching it this weekend.

I like the natural born killers smilie Jasper, very cool,
or rather, hot.

It's Friday night here, and I'm back from emergency at the hospital, my daughter had a fall, which is a big bad thing,
but she is ok, nothing broken, poor girl, she was so upset and shocked, they had to call the fire-brigade to get her back up (she is very big) and she has a huge gash on her head :(

Beer tastes so goood right now.

cheers killers

to life and love and killing threads!

Thanks for your well-wishes Bx, I came home (about an hour's drive from her place) and am going back to the hospital soon.
There was a problem in the night, but I think all ok atm.

I know most of you kinda despise religion, maybe especially Catholic, but praying my arse off gave me wings to do my best in the situation.

Kool! I'd slog through a month of Mondays to get to one good Cunday.

How goes it, Killer? Is your daughter doing better? Any rest for you (between the driving and the hospital)? Hope all is improving and you and your daughter are well.

Enjoy your Cunday (if I can help in any way to add and expand your cunday... ).

Best to you, Friend.

Sloane! Mistress of Song and wonder. How goes it?

If you're going out dancing this evening and time allows, give Toots and the Maytals "Funky Kingston" (I like the version with Bootsy Collins on it) a spin as you get ready. You'll be rackin' true natty sista. True dat true.

Hope this finds you well.

Hahaa, so would I Bx
though maybe we're not thinking exactly of the same thing..

I'm ok, been walking to ward off stress, and having a few drinks at night, hoping for a sunny day on a beach soon, that will fix me back to my dazed and confused self.

How's the life in the big city going?

Re: Are you a thread killer?
Good idea with the walking, Kool. I've always been of the mind if you move a muscle you change a thought. Read in your reply to Sloane that all is well with your daughter. Happy for you.

Things are good on this end (thanks for asking). I went to an old haunt of mine in Queens last night. It's an Italian joint owned by a guy named Carmine. Carmine had a real bad gambling jones and got in deep with the skels running slush funds. Apparently he ran way behind in his payments (as I said, he was a gambling fiend) and a couple of years back one of the collectors came into to his resturant and shot him straight through the eye. He survived and gave-up gambling (after disappearing for a time).

Whenever I spend time with Carmine, I spend the next few days squinting out of one eye. Physical empathy, or just plain gratitude no bullets have found me. In any event, the weekend's been good thus far.

Heading-out to dinner now, but wishing you well (as always) and thanking you again for that Cunday state of mind.

Best to you, Kool.

Sista Sloane, I'm going to check it out. As Greg Brady said on episode 23 of "The Brady Bunch" (I really don't know the episode), "Music is my life!"

It's enough to make me want to holla, "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha."

See you on the other thread in time, Sloane. Best to you.

I love hearing tidbits from others' lives, thanks Bx, I know it's been said before, but you make big pictures out of a few words.

Today, I ran on the beach, it moved stress even more, I'm too physically tired now to feel anything :)

I know someone who has killed a thread and not claimed it,
well,,,she has concluded it...

Me, now, today, this very minute, am hatching dream-state plans for epic road-trips through the U.S. of A,
killers on board,
meeting other killers
our knives sheathed temporarily,
or we can kill as we go,
'tis a mad plan fer sho,
'tis why I like it,
I hope beyond these dreary autumn skies,
that my Big Boss approves.

Dancing with Sloane is something I would not want to miss
for starters :)
