Re: Are you a thread killer?
Johnny - Well, you old devil. That was good stuff.

I enjoyed the exchange where the poster called you 'silly' (I thought a good-natured ruffle of your hair and a milk/brownie plate might be coming your way), but before I could say "Ah, shucks" BAM! You're a serpent.

In seconds, you went from being that lovable, but misinformed, kid to slithering, twisting, Beelzebub. From kiss to hiss in an instant.

Like many sociopaths, they're good at pulling one in with good natured fellowship, but before you know it you might find yourself naked in the middle of a circle of black hooded figures chanting off-key.

But this is Johnny Gold:

"say " i beleive in lkilling people that steal shoes and calling strangers the devil and in the 2nd ammendment which was implemted by your son"

".....implemented by your son" should become a bumper sticker, Johnny. So good it hurt when I read it. You are a funny, funny, man, Johnny.

Hold it. Didn't the lucifer have some connection to music and light before the fall? A wicked sense of hunor?

Whoa, Johnny, don't be offering any apples to me. They could be rotten, Johnny.(good catch, Koolio). To the core. Well, you'll get no sympathy here (although I'm certain you're a man of wealth and taste).

Damnit, Johnny, I liked you. Slippery bastard.

Hope this finds all killers well and happy.

Great to see you Water. Nice to have another music lover with wit aboard the thread killing train. We may be on a road to nowhere, but the walk is a pleasure because of the company here. It's going to be nice to read you no matter our inability to ever leave the auditorium.

Although, we are on the road to somewhere... Kool is on her way here from Australia and we will be on a glorious trip through the country seeing the USA through the eyes of someone who's only dreamed of the sights here.

It will be magical and fun!

It's a sample size now. But we will make them larger when we go on our cross country trip. Kool who is from Australia gets an Aussie hat I get a cowboy hat, DB is also getting a cowboy hat and we are not sure what Sloane and BxMac would like yet.

Nice clip, Koolio. Off the 'Little Creatures' lp if I recall correctly. Has to be at least 25-30 years old.

Damn, time is a bottle rocket jockey zipping through the cluttering of Battaros and slicing seconds on the nanoscopic scale. Thank goodness we amble despite the minute mile passing on the left.

Hope this finds you and yours well and happy, Kool.

Johnny you are, and remain, one funny bastard. So damn funny.

"the second was Al jeehera or whatever , some arab news station - appeared on my TV set - on like the CNN channel
no news stroy about it, no mention of it on here"

"Al jeehera or whatever" brought tears to my eyes in the context of the thread.

You and Wikid Smith - the other guy with blessed bite and skewed sensibility here (you might find the other half of the coin on the other) - literally pull such hearty laughter from me that, with great frequency, family members have shouted from other rooms, "What's so funny?"

Thanks, Johnny. A true priviledge to read you.

One last thing, Johnny.

As you fleshed-out your message, I especially enjoyed the thoughtfulness (kindness, actually) of the poster who wrote.

"Pretty interesting thoughts you have here.. but I have nothing to add, to be honest."

Statements like that give me hope. Don't know the poster, be he/she sinner or saint, but after reading that post I'd extend my hand in fellowship to that good soul.

A pip, Johnny boy. A true pip.

Hello, sister Friend. Hope this finds you and yours well.

Just got back from the VA here and it was a red-tape morning. One of those mornings that need to be worn like a loose garment. Now, the ever-present opportunity to start the day over. Hope on the horizon and a chicken in every pot.

Best to you, Friend.

Re: Are you a thread killer?
All is well with me and mine Mac, driving to the big city today, and yesterday I did a wonderful thing, that means absolutely nothing to anyone but me, but it glows inside me despite its lack of altruism or any consequence for anybody whatsoever :)

Soul feeding I guess, you could call it.

Near to where I live is some wild, remote coastline, I've been there once before, I took my daughter's dog who loves a bit of a trek, and we walked to the coast, along a track made by 4-wheel drivers (I think you guys call it something else..?)
At the end of the sandy hills and kilometres of track, is a huge nearly 90 degree cliff that tumbles down to the rocky beach below, I didn't go down there before, so this time I thought I would, to conquer it, and face the fear it gave me.

The waves way below me were huge and powerful, breaking onto a reef and washing onto the rocks, looking at them gave me a sense of vertigo, so I told myself to be very precise where I placed my feet and hands, there were a lot of loose rocks and it was so steep.
The dog seemed to handle it fine, she spent time alone in the wilderness before my daughter got her, so I knew her survival instinct was good and strong.

Down, down we went, some parts I just slid down on my bum, until we reached the bottom. I really wanted to wash my face in the ocean water, to kinda seal the deal, so I clambered over these most amazing white boulders and rocks, that had been tumbled about in the ocean for so long they were smooth and pure somehow..
I kept a wary eye on the ocean, and tried to find a spot where the incoming wave stayed a little longer.
As I bent down to put my hands into the water pooling on the white rocks, a bigger wave came in, and washed right over my feet, soaking my shoes and right up my legs :(
The walk back was going to be more uncomfortable than I'd thought.
Face tinkling with the cold ocean, we started back up, it was such a wild place, you could feel the lack of people visiting, it gave me a sense that anything could happen, far away from our dealings and creations, where nature rules and crashes power without thought or care, just as it wants.

It was a long climb.
Even the dog stopped and wouldn't move at one point, I had to let her stand and pant for a while, and then push her a bit to get her moving in front of me, I was worried if she came up behind me, she could bump my legs and I'd lose foothold.

I had to shout 'Hallelujah!' and just shout no word too :)
close to the top.

My legs felt like jelly as we started back on the track, but my wet feet gave me no trouble, and the clear quiet sense of myself was so strong in me, it was all, well worth it.
