You need to learn to live off the land.

1. Free yourself... I walked away from my house in the city... all the government welfare freeloaders were taking over anyway

2. Get out of the city and back to the country and the earth

3. Learn to hunt and grow food

4. Find a likeminded community that is getting out of Babylon

Re: 100 million workers out of jobs
The job market is terrible.

There used to be pages and pages of jobs listed for any one particular skill or field, even back in 2002 when the job market was pretty damn poor. Now there are only one or two pages listed within a 100 mile radius for a specific field or skill set and most of those jobs have been there since before Thanksgiving. They just keep re-listing them and I don't think those people are even hiring because I have gone to the actual locations when I received no response from the online process of applying. The local people said they were not, in fact, hiring for the positions and did not even know there were listings out on job boards for their company. WTF?

I've been out of work for 10 months. No income for 10 freaking months!

I have a stellar work history (I was at my last job for 10 years). I have a college degree, an great references, 5 professional licenses and I interview very well.

I've had some luck in responses from applying online but have been turned down from one company because they went into a hiring freeze right as I was about to be made an offer (4 months of interviewing) and they still have the job listed on their career page even though they are not hiring for it.

A couple of other promising offers went nowhere due to these stupid personality tests which I have spent weeks researching only to find out some really messed up information on how these things are scored.

For instance, did you know that according to behavioral "scientists" that people who have empathy and concern for other people or concern for humanity, in general, are less likely (according to them) to be successful and have no drive to make money?
Who knew? WTF!!
I'm certain that I failed these tests because I answered questioned that displayed I care about other people. And despite the fact that I have a proven record of successful sales (my resume has a huge list of awards that I have received) and despite having a long history of high income in a commission only field, I am rejected because some test says peole who have compassion for others are not desirable leaders.

And it's a double edge sword because those who do not test positive for empathy are deemed to be poor team players and have a tendency to cause conflict in the work place.

So damned if you do, damned if you don't. An you can't even get your foot in the door to talk to an actual human being at most of these places until you take these STUPID tests.

I'm so fed up with this stupidity!

I need a job. I want to work. I'm highly skilled, professionally licensed, 15 plus years of experience and proven success. I have never collected a dime of unemployment. I don't want hand outs. I want a job so I can survive!

It's nothing short of genocide. People need money to simply be alive.

Aaaarrrggh!!!

i agree with the earlier guy,

if you live in the Shit head states:

California, NY, Illinois, Texas, Florida, etc...

where it costs a small fortune to live,

MOVE,

leave those states.

Move into the states where the cost of living is lower,

and just start over.

I am still transitioning... I commute over 100 miles a day but many of these cities are on borrowed time for civil unrest and upheaval.

Move now while you have God's grace and time to get re-situated.

Trust God He has a good plan for your future.

I don't have it all figured out but like Abraham I left the land of my childhood and nativity and forsook even seeing my parents in Denver area save once or twice a year. Denver is literally turning into a mind controlled police state - two people I know there in the past 10 months attempted suicide.... one succeeded.... the vibe in the cities is getting more intense.... sifting some out into the country to find God and their human potential and others clinging more tightly to the Federal nipple for welfare and drugs and "health-care"

My licenses are public record and would show on my background check due to the regulations of the industry.

Therefore lying on the job application is not a option, at least not a smart one. I would be stone cold busted right off the bat and everyone does background checks.

Hard to move anywhere else and start over. My family is here. My husband's family is here and my husband works for my father's business which is a very small company that he owns. There isn't enough work to keep us all above water but I have been taking, and he has been offering anything extra that I can do.

It would be unwise for me to pack up and leave. My resources are here and I wouldnt leave my husband or screw my family over. I also hve 2 cats and two dogs. Leaving would be an unwise decision and an immoral one as well.

You are right. A lot of people have it worse than I do. I do appreciate the things I have and I do realize that there are a hell of a lot of people who would give their right arm to be in the situation I am in. I do not take it for granted. I still have my home, a loving family and a ton of food on hand.
All my bills are current. I have not defaulted on anything, YET.

It's just hard to keep that in my head when the bills keep coming, my emergency funds and savings are now completely depleted and I'm in the process of selling everything...not only my vehicles but any belonging that will raise enough cash to keep the lights on.

The process of job hunting is emotionally draining. You can't even talk to a real human being anymore. Everyone sends you to a website to fill out these profiles and most of them take so long to complete. So I end up spending hours and hours filling out my name, address, phone, work history, mission statements, references..yadda yadda. I upload my resume and then have to spend another hour filling out a job history profile that is just a repeat of everything already contained in the resume. It is a COMPLETE WASTE of time. And it's like that for every job position..... rinse and repeat.

Can you imagine how much we could get accomplished as a nation if we didn't have all these people, who are very eager to work, running in circles and wasting their time doing stupid useless crap like this? Hell we could fix the economy in less than a month.

And you are correct about not even being able to get minimum wage fast food drive in work. People simply will not hire you because you're over qualified and I guess they see you as a flight risk.

I am not above digging ditches or shoveling horse crap. I just need job so I can survive, but they won't even allow a person to earn circus peanuts, despite their willingness to do so.

As to the person who called you a loser...... fuck him. He has no idea. Just wait until it happens to him or his family. No one is immune to this situation.

I've been making and selling some art work and jewelry but it's simply not enough to get by. I need to keep my licenses and my bills current or else I will ruin future prospects because no one will hire me without my credit being intact and current in my licensing continuing education and fees. But I have reached a point where I simply can not keep my head above water.

I try to stay positive. I try to keep focused but it's just damn depressing. I have always stood on my own two feet and I do not wish to be a burden to my family.

The longer this goes on, the harder to becomes because no one wants to hire someone who has been out of work for so long. I list my own business as my current employer but anyone with half a brain knows that I've been out of work since last August and as soon as I run out of the change in my coach cushions (which happens at the end of the month), I'll be unable to keep my bills current. Once that happens, the credit history is shot and I it will become almost impossible to find work even in a good economy.

And the thing is, everyone loses in this situation. The companies won't get paid, causing losses and hurting their own business. In turn they will likely cut jobs to keep their earnings intact which puts more people out of work. Hence causing more defaults and less people able to buy anything. It's a domino effect and it's going to hurt ALL of us as it keeps spiraling out of control.

To those who believe they are safe and heckle those who are struggling, be warned....our problems will become your problem. It's just a matter of time. Working for the private sector, the government or owning your own business can not protect you financially when more and more people have no jobs, no money and eventually no means to acquire it (i.e. no home, no car to get to work).

This is going to get very ugly and fast if it continues. The economy has no hopes of getting better until people are working yet no one will hire because the economy is bad.

This is a very vicious circle.

Anyway, sorry for the ranting.

It's just frustrating. I'm not wishing to cling to the past. I simply wish to move forward but I lack direction on which way to go, at the moment.

It will all work out, I'm sure, for better or for worse and I will deal with it as it comes and roll with the punches. What other choices are there, really?

I'm done belly aching for now.

I'm going to find something more productive to do with my time for the rest of the day.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in.

Onward and upward, as they say.

What about stay at home moms?

What about people who don't want to work?

What about kids still in high school.

What about people who retired early?

What about students in college studying full time?

Statistically in the 1950's 50% of the people were unemployed because the vast Majority of women 90+% did not work. Today that would be 130 million people. Those women were not counted. Today women are counted.

As a percentage of total working age population with a job we are still somewhat high. The issue is that it was at record highs in in the 2000's. The percentage of Americans working had never been higher. Any drop from that level seems harsh but in the grand scheme of things it's no biggie we are just going back to historical norms.

The number still is bad. But not as bad as people make it out to be.

The labor force participation rate has never in the history of the United States been above 70%.

So a labor force participation rate of 64% is still within historical norms.

Even if technically that means 36% of people are without jobs.

Honestly, your logic is sound enough in a stable society with a stable currencey, but since imbeciles elected Nixon the dollar has been backed with nothing, and this has allowed unlimited power by the banking cabalists.

Reference some of Bill Stills movies. Secrets of Oz, the money masters, ect.

Re: 100 million workers out of jobs
Wow! 100 million without Jobs and there are only 300 million in the U.S.. That is 1 out of every 3 people. But those insane politicians still have the nerve to get on TV and act like they are doing a good job.

I suppose they will still be up there saying they are doing a good job when people are out on the streets staving to death like some 3rd world hellhole.

This is going to get real ugly because the average people don't have anyone up in Washington D.C. to speak for them. All of them are nothing but paid stooges for corporations and Wall street.

most do,

this is why i love watching America rip itself apart,

you have one boob who succeeded at something

so they assume 100 million others can do it.

it's like watchign a car with 3 flat tires try to drive down the street.

yep,

1/3 of the country is out of work,

and a few months back there was a story about how 50% of America is now below the poverty line.
