There's over a 100 different translations, which one is right? I thought the Bible said that God is not the author of confusion?

This is why I stick to one version, the King James, which is from a totally different line that came from the Textus Receptus, as opposed to the other perversions that came up from Alexandria, Egypt through the Catholic manuscripts known as the Vaticanus and the Sinaiticus through the revised version of 1881.

The king james is far from a pure translation. Hell is in the king james and thaa is the topic. btw, I prefer the king james

I disagree. The King James is a perfect translation, have you ever watched the King James Code series by Mike Hoggard? The Bible comes alive when you count certain words and the Biblical significance behind numbers. I'm just saying it has the signature of God written all over it.

If it isn't a perfect translation, then what is? Was God somehow not able to bring the modern world a perfect Bible? Did God somehow not foresee that there will be an international language called English?
 Quoting: Fidokrab

Yes I've watched a lot of Mike Hoggard's work. I used to believe as you do. Then I realized that hell is a lie and a true mistranslation, so it kind of killed the whole "perfect translation" idea. The king james is not a perfect translation and there is not one to be found. That is not the point.

For those unable to conceive living without a blazing abyss beneath us, can you reference for us *where* in scripture God first defines hell and announces that sinners go there when they die? I assume it occurs pretty early in the book, yes? and that it was plain as day?

The lies have gone on long enough and the people are finally awaking. Christians open your eyes to the lie that is hell. Several different words are mistranslated in the english bible to hell to decieve. If you don't believe in the bible, then I understand why, because it has been mistranslated in many different ways. The truth is that all are part of the creator and all will be reconciled in the end.

Wrong. You failed to convince me that the mistranslated word hell is real. It is clearly mistranslated, so now we are to go of yours and others dreams and visions? Hmm, not very biblical.

Well, no. "Hell" is an English word that scholars put in His mouth. In the original Greek, the term was "gehenna". which was an actual place just outside of Jerusalem. It was their garbage dump. Always burning, and infested with maggots, this is where Roman armies dumped the deceased bodies when they sacked the city merely 40 years later. Jesus was warning the people in His audience of a specific national judgment, which has since come and gone.

What is Jesus saying about the consequence at the end of these two verses?:

(Matthew 18:8) "Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire."

(Matthew 18:9) "And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire."

Here's what it says in Young's Literal translation:

8 `And if thy hand or thy foot doth cause thee to stumble, cut them off and cast from thee; it is good for thee to enter into the life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast to the fire the age-during.

9 `And if thine eye doth cause thee to stumble, pluck it out and cast from thee; it is good for thee one-eyed to enter into the life, rather than having two eyes to be cast to the gehenna of the fire.

Now that is a washed down Bible. I believe there is an agenda out there to remove, deny, and twist the existence of hell in the Bibles and in the modern church.

Does it not make sense to you that Satan wants people in hell fire with him? And that Satan tries to manipulate people into believing that there isn't any risk of ending up in such a place?

Your mind is stuck in false doctrine thus negating free concerning free will and in my opinion, your belief is too rigid and set in your mind. If we watched the same movie, would we gravitate to the same conclusion on all components and meanings within the movie I think not?

Life experiences guide us to a particular conclusion and revisiting the movie years later might open our eyes to things previously unseen.

I am very interested in this subject. There is so much debate on this and its so important.

If man is mortal, and the only way that man can become "immortal" is through Christ. (This is ETERNAL life!) How can sinners who refuse to repent, and knowingly reject and even hate Christ receive everlasting life? In order for a mortal man to be tortured and burn in a writhing fire forever and ever in eternity, be it a physical or spiritual fire. Would they not ALSO have to be imparted with Eternal life?

Is it everlasting punishing or everlasting punishment?

" The wages of sin is DEATH, but the gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE....." Romans 6:23. (emphasis mine, ofcourse.)

Since you have a chose of what you will do, hell is going to be of your choosing. Separation from God would be what I consider hell, there can be no light of goodness without God.

Everyone has a spirit or soul, your body is a vessel, it has to go somewhere. I do think there is a place you went to in the Old Testment, and Jesus Christ has the keys to it.

He went to tell the Good News to the ones there, they came back with him and walked and talked to people. He wouldn't have sent them back after going to get them.

WOW, two false doctrines at work, first, denial of the underworld, second; the idea that we are all reconciled in the end, when the scriptures are clear that "the second death, is the same judgment of being cast into the Lake of fire with the Devil and his angels. The only one mis-interpreting scriptures, is you.

No such state exists. Psalm 139 says God is even in "hell" (sheol), and Revelation 14 says those in the "lake of fire" will be in the presence of the Lamb. No separation.
