Even if the sun were getting brighter, you wouldn't be able to notice with your eyes. | |

Our eyes are used to a certain brightness of the sun. When a light is brighter, We know that it is brighter. Our brains remember how bright it was. Our pupils dilate or constrict based upon the amount of light entering. |

Do you know how I know that? Science has objectively proven it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1642573 Where is your proof, aside from your subjective experience (which is not, in fact, scientific evidence). You know how when you take a picture outside, sometimes your pictures are too bright to see anything? Well, without your brain toning down the brightness, it would always look like that on a sunny day to your puny human eyes. You don't actually see reality. You see what your brain interprets about reality.. With changing light conditions, your eyes naturally let more light in or filter it out as needed. So.. If you think the sun is getting brighter, that's fine.. But you'd better have some scientific evidence to back it up, otherwise your opinion is meaningless at best and fear shilling at worst. It's not so much a case of 'Brightening' but more a 'Whitening' of the light coming from our Sun. That is what I have(thought at least)I had been noticing. The thing is,we measure the wavelengths of Solar Light on Earth all over the Planet so,if this were the case you'd have thought that someone would have released data confirming this or at the least, speculated upon its happening. ? I did not know there were any other comments on line about this. I googled "Sun is getting brighter" and found your site. Yes, it seems very much to me that the sun is getting whiter. It looks like the way the sun normally looks in September, bright and very clear. But here we are in May. I have been noticing this for several weeks. Also, my shade direction has been changing dramatically, within a few days I now have sun on my back patio where I do not normally have it. What is going on? |
