oh, sorry. since you're actually qualified, perhaps you can explain to us how exactly these 'large antennas and highly expensive photon classifiers' are able to solve the problem of interference caused by the earth's magnetic field, lightning, AC power grids, and most importantly all the other trillions of animal brains in this 17,568,856 square mile area they can receive brainwaves within. actually, don't even bother trying to explain that, because without lying again you simply can't. here's a free little lesson kiddo; the problem is not in receiving ELF waves, it's in transmitting them, which actually does require a huge antenna (basically the earth itself) and incredible amounts of power. your 'article' itself says "brain waves are so weak, they are hardly measurable at all". MIT uses a special room completely devoid of stray electromagnetic radiation to accurately study brainwaves using a device attached to the head. to say that our thoughts can be recorded from any distance at all (let alone 3000km) is ridiculous and completely unjustifiable scientifically. please respond with more dumb shit.

1. The Earth's magnetic field is static, it doesn't have a frequency. As such, it doesn't cause interference.
2. Lightning is transient and can be corrected with pulse filters. Further, it tends to be visible only in the kilohertz spectrum which is outside the area of interest.
3. AC power grids cause harmonics in narrow areas and multiples thereof. In general, it is 50Hertz, 60Hz and 16.1Hz. There can be complex harmonics due to non-linear loads, but in general they can be predicted and removed from the final DFT. There are numerous additional methods, such as using overlapping receivers hosted in electrically quiet areas, harmonic shielding, etc.
4. As for the animal brains, the patterns of the neural codings are different. So, you have one supercomputer network rejecting patterns (i.e. animals, etc) and another accepting neural patterns, such as human. In the case of insects, due to their size the frequencies they produces can be filters readily as they are not in the area of interest of human frequencies.
5. Quite a number of ELF transmitters already exist, I can see them on my spectrogram everyday. Its just another one of them.
6. Brain waves may be weak, but they are photons. They have the same energy at the point of creation, to the the tip. That means they are as strong in Seattle as they are in New York. The special helmet is to assist in "imaging", a 3D map of the brain. This is not used by the NSA. They are interested in neural coding patterns and creating a database of what they mean. Being 3000Km or more away, does not effect the process one bit.
