Most Greeks have accepted bankruptcy and poverty. It's the banks and the elite that they haven't accepted these things yet. But this game of putting all the Greeks in the same boat as tax evaders is getting ridiculous by now. Low and middle class Greeks are taxed at source, they cannot evade taxation. It's the 1-2% of the elite and the corrupt political system that is not paying their fair share and the lower classes are now taxed to extinction because of this. |

We're a British family who own and home and business in Spain but we're returning at the end of June. There are estimated to be 5.5 million British expats living throughout Europe. All the expats I know are making plans to return. Many Germans and Dutch are leaving/have left too. Many Spanish are making plans to move to Germany because they keep hearing how fantastic they're doing and how low their unemployment is. The majority of South American and even Moroccans have gone back to their own countries. However, there are many Russians moving to the CdS area. They're snapping up bargain homes and hotels. As for Britain being last to tighten it's borders - they're already making plans. |

Maybe tensions, borders closing, protectionism and so on. But not an outright military confrontation. That is in no one´s interest, nor is it practical. It also wouldn´t make any sense. What would the Greeks fight for? For the money they borrowed and wasted? Who´s fault is that?? If they think printing money is a solution, they can print drachmas. If we print euros that way, the euro will be just like the drachma anyway. We are all broke and we did it ourselves. What is possible, instead, is that people will want to thank their own politicians in their own countries, since the decisions were just taken by a handful of people. No one asked the Germans to have the euro, nor the Italians, nor anyone else, as far as I know. |

The region of Catalonia has reported it can't pay it's bills and has asked the Spanish government for a 'bailout'. Other regions will follow because if there's money for one they'll expect money for all and then austerity is out of the window. How will the people react to Bankia being given €19 Billion, by the government, when they're being told there's nothing in the kitty for their regions and more cuts must be made?
