Thereīs no reason why families canīt observe their religious beliefs in their own homes rather than causing so many employees of the church to have to report for work on that day. |

Itīs not fair to the staff who are unable to have their day of rest every Sunday. |

History tells us that Sunday had become the day of worship before Constantine took over the church for the roman empire (he was not a pope). And what about the Ethiopian church? The Greek and Russian churches. They were doing it before the Roman church. |

Is not our Sabbath in Him? The early Jewish Christians could not very well have attended services at their local synogogues now, could they! The choice of the Sabbath day separated the Christians from the Jews. The Pharisees here that bash Sunday as being the Sabbath day of choice for many are totally without merit. Col:2;16: Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: . |

The Sabbath is a memorial to Creation, and was created at Creation, not at Sinai when the Decalogue was handed down. In Genesis 1 we are told that in 6 days God made the earth and all in it. And on the seventh day He rested, blessed and hallowed that day. In the giving of the Decalogue, you will note that the commandment is not given to make that day Holy, but to "Remember" that holy day. Why? "because in 6 days the Lord made heaven and earth and all that in them is, and He rested on the 7th day and hallowed (made holy) it." Sabbath is not "the Lordīs Day" and no attempt should be made to make it such. It is the memorial to Creation, and the seal of the Authority of the Creator. Itīs states simply WHY He has the Authority. It is His by right of Creation. As the Creator, He has a right to either redeem malfunctioning humanity or destroy it. He gets to state how it will happen, what the requirements are, and when they are met. He also gets to determine what the punishment is for failure to adhere to them. Why, you ask? One reason and one reason only. He is the Creator. Clio |

That may be true, Clio, but Saturday has no more hold on being the Sabbath day than does Sunday. Both days were designated by consent of church leaders. My point in the above post was to opine that we have a choice as a community of believers to choose between the given days. The named day of the Sabbath was not given at creation, so that my point is as well-taken as is yours. The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, so why argue over oneīs preference over whether it is Saturday or Sunday, or any other day of the week? . |

God did not give the pope the right to īchooseī anything about the worship of God and Jesus the Pope is a pagan position which was christianized by constantine the vatican is also a pagan place of worship |
