Also, the x,y,x'(x-prime),y'(y-prime) are usually reserved for coordinate conversion. The "O" in the middle is a further suggestion it is the origin of the coordinate system.

Still looking at the I,II,III,IV thing and the A,B,C,D notation. These may be hinting at what the coordinate conversion is trying to explain.

Just another thought on the doppler effect and the door handle looking somewhat like an eight. Satellites in the sky that are geosynchronize still track a figure eight pattern in the sky when viewed from the earth.

I agree with EvenT6HorizoN that the door handle looks like another integral symbol.
