Unfortunately for us on this plane TRUTH is not absolute, so all these crazy, extremely interesting yet fucked-up puzzles on GLP are each it's own way to wake up whoever wants to spend the time mind-fucking themselves trying to decipher "THE" code. There is no code, that's the point. If there was a code then we'd sit back and be aimless, lazy students who never achieved anything more than seeking a master to tell us fanciful stories. The puzzle is the story, if you figure it out there is no more gain, so best to have an unsolvable puzzle.

Call the guy because having him give his own interpretation will not quench the seeker's thirst for the ever-elusive truth.

Do not call the guy because that is not what you want. The epic would be over, life would normalize, inquisitiveness would subside.. but do not rely on Ezrin or anyone else to figure anything out as a matter of fact. The puzzle is it's own game and good mental exercise for any seeker, maybe that's what the owner knew, and knew putting the plaque up in the cemetery while he was still alive would only add to the allure, the fuel to drive discovery, not only of it, but of life itself; self.
