Anonymous Coward User ID: 9117667 United States 05/28/2012 11:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | See MsMilkyTheClown videos on ytube, they are removing as much of the damaged structure as possible to prepare for the ten year project of removing the 1500+ spent fuel rods, IF all goes well. I'd give it at least 50/50 chance of success providing no further explosions or devestating earthquakes/tsunamis occur in that time period, which also has 50/50 odds in my opinion. I do believe subsidence is a serious issue, especially if "china syndrome" theory proves correct. Should the worst occur, I'd say you have at the most five days to take a long vacation away from the West Coast of USA/Canada/Mexico. But with acculmulating fallout, you may want to think about relocation or at least dietary changes anyways. |

That just shows how utterly pathetic most GLPers are, in their fear-mongering and paranoid-delusions. Quoting: Arctica 16463794 You honestly believe the threat of Fukushima is as real as you think, and that no sane person would ever visit Japan? Holy crap, dude. Get out more. You are the one whom is Holidaying yet still typing on GLP. Hoo.k. Th e big cranes probably removed sections of curtain wall, of only negative structural value and in danger of falling. They have opened up the frame for better access to the fuel rods. Still it's a pathetic effort. The Russians would have had the whole complex buried in sand and boron six months ago. Deplorable in a tin foil hat |

A Friend User ID: 16787234 United States 05/28/2012 11:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Last time I saw this live feed was months ago - at that time, there certainly was a left side to the building. Almost looks like what I remember of Bldg #3 at the time. Quoting: JDSGUAM2 The right side of #4 does appear to be straighter than I remember. But, clearly both #3 & #4 look horrific and in worst shape than my last look. Quoting: Arctica 16463794 You honestly believe the threat of Fukushima is as real as you think, and that no sane person would ever visit Japan? Holy crap, dude. Get out more. seriously ? is that what you tell yourself? that four reactors, utterly distroyed to the point where NO ONE can even get near them - and which the experts say are in a China Syndrom type melt down on a scale never experienced before is just BS ... buddy, you are in denial ... and it is probably safer in Japan than it is in the USA because the winds blow west and it has to circumnavigate the entire globe to get back to them like you said, you can BELIEVE any damn thing you want - but it doesn't make it true ... and when you can SEE it exploding, and burning and the people THERE tell you that 1500 MOX fuel rods are exposed and ready to blow ... you don't just ignore it - I have a radometer ... I KNOW exactly how much radiation is in the air at any moment ... how are you going to argue with those facts - yes, indeed, we are getting irradiated ... and if you choose NOT to believe it ... I really don't care - you are just another ignorant individual who thinks they are invincible - bet you are still under thirty ... typical adolescent state of mind, to think you know better than the people who died from trying to even clean up the area around the reactors if they can't even get close to it - how can you believe, that is isn't spewing radio active particles into the air and water ... DUH |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 12849239 Canada 05/29/2012 02:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How much they pay you? that thing doesn't look like it's going to stay up much longer. The fact that nobody has a crystal ball to be able to tell when it will fall, and the fact that there's a chance it may not, hardly makes the OP's point invalid... that building is leaning more and more all the time. And no, it's not the reactor, which is empty anyway. It's the spent fuel pool that will kill us all. And that's what's attached to the building. |
Arctica User ID: 16463794 Japan 05/29/2012 05:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Once more, how many of these threads do we get every single week? EVERY WEEK. Every week it's "Fukushima has collapsed" this, or "Fukushima won't last another day" that. These threads pop up every single week and have been since the incident. Fukushima is not going to blow us all to Kingdom Come. Once again, look where you are. On the Lunatic Fringe, a conspiracy site where its disclaimer even tells you not to believe what you read here. It's turning most of you into spasticated paranoiacs and I earnestly wish you take a time out and clear your head. Simple, really. |
