I'm a guilty past and present abuser of my back.
I've always tried to use good body posture when lifting but that doesn't always get the job done.

What I noticed first this past week was my lower back muscles spasming and cramping up, the ones along side the spine.
It's intermittant but seems to be triggered by bending down.
Then when I stand up sometimes I get a sharp shooting pain up my spine.
Today was the worst, my lower back cramped up and then it felt like my back sort of changed shape and the angle of my arch was increased. I think its called the "lumbar curve", that area.
When the cramp stopped my back's shape pretty much went back to normal but I still have nonstop pain of varying degrees.
For awhile I couldn't even sit in a chair or walk around without needing to hunch over or lay down. Now I'm better, can sit and walk okay but I still have constant pain and aching.

Anybody experience back pain similar or know what this is a sign of?
I'm gonna go get it checked out tommorrow except I can't decide if the urgent care or the ER is better.

The thing is it's not as bad as it was so I feel a little stupid going to the ER with low pain levels but I don't know if an urgent care can diagnose it.
I want an x-ray.
I'm not happy with my family doctor, her whole office treats their patients as an inconvenience and bother. So that's not an option.
