The show has been seized, the website has been seized. It is deemed inappropriate propaganda to fuel demonstrations against off shore oil drilling and US Navy operations using dolphins and seals in anti-terrorist security. That is the official word I got.

All this means is that the website they stole this picture from was guilty of those things. The mermaid site just snagged the pic and set it as their homepage. It is deunked, it is fake, it means nothing.

It's all part of the "viral marketing" for the documentary itself. In order to lend credit to the documentary itself and the "cover up" by the government. However, look on the Animal Planet website itself and it is clearly stated that it is all a work of fiction.

This video has made a big splash. I see anywhere from 100 to 400 watching it on at least one website that has it, on an everyday basis.

I also see it's been taken off of YouTube; at least I can't find it on there anymore.

Maybe it was reported and DHS did shut them down at the producer's request?

I don't know enough about the sign they've put up on that Mermaid website, to know if it's fake or not.
