I don't care if any of this is real or not. All I want to know is if only 5% of the sea creatures have been discovered, then 95% have not.....how would you know that? until you know what 100% is, you can't know what 5% is. For all we know, they could find 5 more animals in the sea and that's it.

As others previously stated, the website being "seized"is a fake. When you go to the website, the top of the tab still have the "name". If you go to bodog.com, torrent-finder.com, firstrowsports.tv, the tabs state "this has been seized by ICE"

Amazing enough in the video above of the Mermaids in a large fish tank at a US Naval facility has the video end with a URL: www.believeinmermaids.com. Going to that website reveals the website has been seized by the DOJ and Homeland Security Investigations unit. The site looks like this:

However, with further investigation and by looking at the Source Code of the website in question we can see this is more of a publicity stunt done by Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. The website’s tagging and descriptions on the source code reveal that is more for entertainment than an actual Department of Homeland Security or DOJ confiscation of a website. Things like the title, “Mermaids are Real � Real Evidence from Dr. Paul Robertson, NOAA researcher” and the title of the main DOJ Image, “Mermaid Legends-Mermaid Sightings-water creature” and the alt text of the image, “Mermaid legend is true, and there is proof of real live mermaids” make you believe that this site was keyworded to go along with the Mermaid’s Body Found series on Animal Planet.

I too have had some strange happenings myself.After visiting or better yet trying to visit the site "believeinmermaids.com" I too got the message of seizure by the govt. but what happene next left me with a shutter about big brother.I then tried going to Youtube and proceeded to type in the website again in hopes for an explanation. When all of a sudden my computer started acting funky and giving me an error message before i could fully type in the link.....?It said windows explorer had a occured a problem and must shut down.. So basically some thing or some one was turning my internet off? Creepy right? So I even tried again the next day and the same thing happened.... but only on youtube and only when trying to type in the website "believe in mermaids.com". Has anyone else had this problem? I"m truly in disbelief that this happened and is still happeneing.

....if these mermaids do exist, and after watching the show. we are technically killing our selfs. its just another race of human, that have evolved to their environment. like how every other race of human is. it to kill them, there is no point. i feel as though we should do something to save them. that's my opinion. and for the government to block this page. its because they had real evidence on this life form, why didnt they block a big foot page.? or something on the lines of that.? because they have no evidence, and it doesnt involve government. not saying bigfoot is real. and i dont know how the navy got away with killing hundreds of whales. the bull crap.

I actually have the answer. The government and navy have been trying to keep this secret for a long time and what they want to keep secret stays secret. They have found bodies all over the world and have done autopsies on them but all we know is the government doesn't want us to know about this

I think they're just trying to get everyone all worked up. I think they faked the website being seized to cause excitement. Has anybody been on this website before it was blocked off? Also, if they really wanted to get rid of it, we wouldn't be able to find it at all, it wouldn't show up that they seized it. However, I do think it is possible that some kind of aquatic humanoid could exist. Who knows?

What the hell do they want with a mermaid site?

It's possible that the website said negative things against the US Navy about the sonar testing. The Navy denied that the cause of the whales and dolphins breaching was due to the sonar testing. So, if this website blamed them or simply worded a sentence the wrong way, the government could seize the site for conspiracy to incriminate said government. It may not be because they're trying to "hide" that mermaids might exist, it may just be about the navy incident. I don't see why they would care about a mermaid website other than that, again, why hide mermaids to begin with? With regards to the show, Discovery channel made a statement explaining the show was mostly science fiction with some basing in science and all footage was fake besides the footage depicting the breached whales and such. I personally believe the seizing of the website was falsified and is nothing more than a public hoax to create hype for the show. (Exactly what it has done.) Then again, it could be due to what I said above. Who knows? Nevertheless, I found the show engaging and extremely intriguing. I enjoy a good delve into scientific theory.
