There are more things in this world that exist than we know of; this article mentions an unknown species of shark that was seemingly part of a poaching ring--still could it be that they were cut up by yet another unknown?:

And what the heck are these? And why would you touch one? If an expert can't identify it maybe it isn't quite earthly? And there were millions!? You would think with that amount we would have known about them already.:
