Ron Paul will succeed from this in some important way. He's determined not to go down with nothing to show for it, as he did with his third-party runs.

If you want the guy with the biggest holdings, that would be Romney. And that has always carried a lot of weight in getting things done. He's entitled to a lot of respect from Republican power-brokers because of it. That's how it works, and it's not even particularly unconstitutional! The constitution was written by property owners, for property owners, making the states constitutors for the listed debts.
