No, but if you pour it in a Gatorade bottle you can get it through the gate when you watch your kid play football ;)

I drink half a bottle for lunch and a bottle or two for dinner most days.

I am 31 and in peak physical condition. I run a few miles every morning and do 100 sit ups and push ups every morning. no family history of cancers or anything like that.

the real pleasure when you get to know your wine is to pair it perfectly with the food you are eating, for example for lunch today I had a beautiful provence rose with some bayonne ham and melon and quails eggs, quite sublime!

I hardly ever drink wine without food. that is what rum punch and gin and tonics are for.

Wine is fine in moderation. Key word "Moderation".

Even if your liver is in tip top shape now, when your in your late 70's and 80's you'll most likely NEED a good liver because chances are you'll be taking many drugs and pills by the handfuls like so many senior citizen do.

If I was going to drink wine nightly, even just a glass...and I LOVE a good "White Merlot".

I would err on the side of caution and buy wine bottled prior to 2011. You DO NOT want to be drinking wine every night that is loaded up on jet stream drifted Cesium from Fukushima.

Re: Anyone else drink a bottle of wine per day?
I have found i have no control over drinking alcohol BUT I do have a bit over buying it.

To explain.

If I have 2 bottles of wine in the house, i have to drink it.

If i go to the store and set myself a limit of one bottle I can cope with that. I set a further restriction of only allowing myself to drink it AFTER all my local stores have shut (odd i know)

Its a hell of a battle.
Good luck to anyone who is trying to fight it.

A bottle per day???

No ma'am.

I don't feel good when I drink that much.
And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

I drink half a bottle for lunch and a bottle or two for dinner most days.

I am 31 and in peak physical condition. I run a few miles every morning and do 100 sit ups and push ups every morning. no family history of cancers or anything like that.

I have shitloads of money and lots of great wine. wine is treasure and it's medicinal. one or two bottles over 5 or 6 hours is nothing but alright.

the real pleasure when you get to know your wine is to pair it perfectly with the food you are eating, for example for lunch today I had a beautiful provence rose with some bayonne ham and melon and quails eggs, quite sublime!

I hardly ever drink wine without food. that is what rum punch and gin and tonics are for.

I'd be in trouble if I had shitloads of money b/c I love expensive wines. Just now I got home with a bottle of French rose. I plopped down $10 for it which is a treat for me. I'm eating it with some sharp raw white cheddar. I don't know if that is a great pairing but it's working for me.

Your meal sounds awesome. I am grain free and dairy free (except raw). I suppose if I drank it with meals that would be a lot better. It's harsh on an empty stomach but that's how I've been drinking it since I'm starving on this paleo diet I just started last week. Maybe that's why I am drinking more, I don't know.

Re: Anyone else drink a bottle of wine per day?
I haven't always done this so nasty people can feck off. I am just in a really bad place and I find that a bottle of wine each evening melts away the stress and allows me to be a better mother. I will actually really enjoy hanging out with my kids as opposed to just going through the motions with them

Now that I have done this for about a week, I feel like a bottle of wine isn't all that much when drunk over the course of several hours. Obviously I do not want to make a habit out of this. I am just surprised how easy it is to do!

I drink the $5 bottles like Rex Goliath because I'm not rich. I don't get hangovers either. Surely there are others who also polish off a bottle a day?

I need to get back on the lexapro, which always helps way more than liquor, but I just hate taking it for some reason.

Bottom line though, it's no way to live.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1227147

I hear you. A few years ago things were really bad in my life, just like now but maybe worse b/c I grew spiritually a lot since then. I drank half a fifth of vodka and 3 Coronas 3-4x a week. It was my poison of choice because I'd take a shot w/ lime then down a beer so within minutes I was already feeling completely awesome. Then half hour later I'd repeat the shot/beer and be even happier because the first round hadn't even metabolized.

I just feel wrong doing that alone. I used to do that routine with my husband. I know it sounds awful but some of our best family days were when we were drinking like this.
We just had so much focus for our kids and enjoyed them and each other. It's really fucking sad I know. We both quit that. He is overseas and I don't think he is drinking much, no stress for him with no kids to deal with.

I haven't tried lexapro but had horrible results with Wellbutrin (caused me to separate from my husband and lose all my inhibitions and act completely out of my mind), Paxil (three trips to the ER with extreme vertigo, anxiety, relentless feeling that I was dying of some horrible disease but it was only Paxil withdrawal). Prozac used to work great for me. I just read enough really bad stuff about it to not want to go there again.

If one worked for you though, go for it. I became a total alcoholic on Wellbutrin and especially Paxil, which was awful because I lived directly above a liquor store at the time and was in college. I got a great set of genes, not! If it isn't depression it's alcoholism or both. Totally runs in my family.

Everyone I have tried put me in the hospital w/ extreme low blood pressure. So I guess I am fucked. My kids definitely deserve a mom who can enjoy them and life without wine. I just don't know how to get out of this place w.out meds, and meds mess me up.

5-HTP, Saint Johns Wort; Mangesium is good for depression, anxiety and energy. B vitamins help neurotransmiter synth.

He has a point though. I see so many ailing elderly around me, and it is downright depressing. I don't want to burden my kids either, but again, I have to wonder if the stress I am relieving isn't worse for me than the alcohol kwim? And I hope I will never be on those poisons. I don't even really take vitamins. I don't like feeling dependent on pills. Hmmm, never thought about the Fukushima thing. Isn't almost everything exposed in the jet stream, even our mail and most produce, etc.

Funny you as because in 2 days my shipment from amazon.com will arrive and I ordered NOW Mood Support which got good reviews and has St John's Wort but a bunch of other things like amino acids too. I just got off Sam-E like a week ago and this coincides with me drinking a bottle of wine per day, so could the withdrawal of the Sam-E be causing this? It's very possible. Sam-E was doing something for me but it was $40 every 2 months for only 400 mg a day and that is not even a therapeutic dose.

5-htp did a little something for me but not enough. They all seem to do not enough or too much. I am hoping this new stuff I ordered will work out.

True! I don't wake up regretting it most of the time. I know alcoholics whose lives were consumed by booze to the point they'd drink on the job. I just drink every evening. Still, I am concerned because I have leaky gut syndrome and I am pretty sure drinking everyday isn't going to help, but then again I don't think it is harming me honestly.

Starving on Paleo diet? Lol. Trust me, compared to others, there's less starving on Paleo Diet if you add enough fats yet there will be overall lower calories intake due to less hunger. No big deal. It takes a couple weeks to get adjusted to the big changes. I'm not sure what you're doing it but a juicy rib-eye steak, avocado on the side and buttered steamed broccoli is awesome.

If you want to save money on wine, hit walmart for box wine. Damn only 12 bucks... for 12.5% alcohol for 5 liters.
