I don't see any streaks. Am I late to the party?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12849239

No. OP is probably new to radar images and didn't understand what was going on.

Okay... Check this out...

[link to weather.cod.edu]

This is St Louis MO

Go to frame 10 right now... timestamp is 0116z 30 May 12

There's the streak...

Now moving further west...

[link to weather.cod.edu]

Goodland, KS

Streak passes on frame 14... timestamp is 0158z 30 May 12

Further west...

[link to weather.cod.edu]

Salt Lake City, UT

Streak crosses on frame 19... timestamp is 0251z 30 May 12

Now do you get it?? It's numerous objects being picked up by numerous NexRad stations moving from east to west - the timestamps prove it!

I'm sure the info I just provided is time sensitive as these pages update - so hurry please...

Anyone have screen capture capabilities??

It would be awesome if someone could capture the time stamps at those links.

You are not getting that they are all sweep artifacts.

That is not the echo of an object

Re: RADAR.WEATHER, EXPLAIN PLEASE!!!!
I don't get how an artifact can start on the east coast and move to the west coast over the course of three hours and not be an object...

Explain.

Is it a ball of frequency??? I just don't get it...

The time stamps prove its moving east to west - does your explanation even take that into consideration?

Here's the Base Reflectivity out of Little Rock, AK

[link to radar.weather.gov]

You see the streak - then the radar flares up!

I'm google-ing - haven't found anything yet!
 Quoting: Sol1d1nt3l

Hey weatherguy...

Little Rock is NOT in Alaska.

At least I'm pretty sure of that since that is where I grew up and the Postal Designation is AR.

AK = Alaska

AZ = Arizona

AR = Arkansas

Don't believe me?

You are welcome!

Just trying to help you out...

Do you know ANYTHING about radar SWEEPS???

They are round like a clock so look at the image and see the circles and take your crayon and draw in the numbers on the clock.

They are sweep over laps were the sweep starts and stops so it doubles up and makes a wedge shape.

The streaks can be seen going out into the pacific ocean now!

Are they're NexRad stations out in the middle of the ocean to create such anomalies!? orrrrr are these objects of some kind?

Those are new cell phone phone towers the National Weather Service hasn't been able to filter out yet.

.... did you click on the link?

The streaks???

NexRad stations are not cell phone towers....

anybody else???????
 Quoting: Sol1d1nt3l

I never said Nexrad stations are cell phone towers. The radar.weather.gov shows a cell phone tower interference, the other site, I do not know what those streaks are, never seen them before.
