The majority of death & murder you refer to has mostly taken place in the 20th century & were overwhelmingly manufactured by people who described themselves as atheists.

in the end, i think everyone is saying the same thing;
leave me alone to believe what i want to believe.

maybe the key is to have enough confidence in your faith, and the god you pray to, that you don't feel threatened.

The feared "new world religion" has been around for ages. . .it's nothing more than what Paul talked about in Philippians 3 regarding people whose "god is their belly".
