"The End Game: 2012 And 2013 Will Usher In The End" - The Scariest Presentation Ever?

----- We don’t know exactly what is to come, but we can all join the very few dots from where we are now, to the collapse of the first major bank…

----- With very limited room for government bailouts, we can very easily join the next dots from the first bank closure to the collapse of the whole European banking system, and then to the bankruptcy of the governments themselves.

----- There are almost no brakes in the system to stop this, and almost no one realises the seriousness of the situation.

----- The problem is not Government debt per se. The real problem is that the $70 trillion in G10 debt is the collateral for $700 trillion in derivatives…

----- Yes, that equates to 1200% of Global GDP and it rests on very, very weak foundations

----- From an EU crisis, we only have to join one dot for a UK crisis of equal magnitude.

----- It is the big RESET.

The author concludes: "From a timing perspective, I think 2012 and 2013 will usher in the end."

The author is the founder of Global Macro Investor who "previously co-managed the GLG Global Macro Fund in London for GLG Partners, one of the largest hedge fund groups in the world. Raoul came to GLG from Goldman Sachs where he co-managed the hedge fund sales business in Equities and Equity Derivatives in Europe... Raoul Pal retired from managing client money in 2004 at the age of 36 and now lives on the Valencian coast of Spain, from where he writes."

"The world has no engine of growth with most of the G20 growth approaching stall speed at the same time. The Western World is about to enter its second recession in an ongoing depression..."

Notice the author uses the phrase "ongoing depression." IOW, we never left the Great Recession of 2008-09.

I agree with this. The world is running out of cheap oil ... and without cheap oil, sustained and meaningful growth will be impossible. Instead, we'll have GDP contraction, banks will fail, countries will go bankrupt, and derivatives will set off an avalanche.

Spain bailing out Bankia looks kinda like the failure and nationalization of the first bank that kicks off the chain of events.

Spain could very well be the first domino that falls:

-- Spain's unemployment now exceeds 25% (youth unemployment exceeds 50%)!

-- Spain's interest rate is now above 6.75%, where 7% is the "red alert" threshold.

-- Deeply in debt, Spain is virtually bankrupt.

-- The Spanish citizens strongly oppose increases in VAT tax.

-- Several of Spain's provinces are bankrupt and require a bailout.

-- Bankia and several other banks are teetering toward collapse.

-- A bank run could happen any day.

That's a good question. At this point, since we've been repeated lied to by the various governments, and we've been screwed by the central banks, we know that we can't count on the government to find a solution, or to assist us.

There will be a great "reset," possibly as early as 2013. I wish I knew what to do before, during, and after the "reset."

The article says have gold and dollars and prepare to wait for a while without banks and many other services while the reset happens.

Yeah, it seems that a majority of commentators who are in-the-know about an oncoming collapse recommend gold and dollars. I would also recommend several months worth of food, water, and survival essentials.

Why would you recommend this. Are you seeing some type of culling?

It depends on the severity of the collapse, and the government's response thereto. In addition, a major collapse could lead to wars and resource hording.

If banks are closed down for several weeks, and/or if there's a significant govt shutdown, then it makes sense to have an ample supply of cash and survival gear.

Spain and the other PIIGS are candidates for collapse. But even China, with its massive bubbles, could experience a hard landing:

Hate to break it to you, but there will be no more banks after a reset.

At that point, it would not be safe for them to go back to work. Trust me, I've heard things.
