What really is the OZONE layer?

the entire atmoshere protects earth fom the suns radiation and ozone is the byproduct of this protection.

and as you can see no amount of cfc's can allow more radiation through as the cfc's themselves will absorb the radiation just like the atmoshere does already.

a lack of ozone would not be an indication of radiation being allowed through, but simply an indication of a change (addition) in the composition of the atmoshere.

when you couple the ban of cfc's with the same time that a certain company's patent ran out for them, you get the whole reason behind the ozone layer depletion scam.

and the precedent for all other global warming/cooling co2 carbon and all that other tax.

another scam relating to the atmosphere is the catalytic converters in cars


they dont protect the atmosphere they simply extract precious metals from crude oil.

now if there is any relation to ozone and radiation getting through this would be obvious when correlating the map of the ozone layer with the map of ground radiation.

it doesnt matter if there is a hole in the ozone, as anything that is there will be dissasociated and absorb the radiation.

I mean it changes so much, how could you ever really call it a "layer", or even attempt to accurately measure anything in this layer?

its there in a layer because it doesnt live very long so it doesnt dissipate elsewhere it bonds with somethign else and is no longer ozone.

ozone is created then it combines with something else, this is constantly happening in the atmosphere

Yes but they're all over the place there is not a single layer of it constantly, its not a constant its a process.
They make it sound like its a gas in a bag that they can test to see how much is there.

It's not an actual hole. It just has an abnormally low concentration of O3 in the atmosphere between 25,000 feet and 100,000.

This is caused during the wintertime over Antarctica because of a large area of cold air which allows o3 molecules to bond to chlorine molecules. Chlorine and O-Zone can only bond at very low temperatures. At the end of wintertime the "hole" disappears because o3 and chlorine "thaw" and go their separate ways. The O3 does not absorb radiation while it is bonded to chlorine.


Does that make sense? Of course scientists think the public is stupid and tries to simplify it but what I said above is how it works. We tried it in a lab in college.

the point your missing is it doesnt matter if there is enough energy to separate the atoms, what matters is the radiation will always 'try' and be absorbed.

the entire point (OP) i am making is that its not ozone that protects us from radiation, its that ozone is the byproduct of the protection already occuring.

it doesnt matter if the atoms of o2 split apart or not, it doesnt matter if ozone is created or not as a result.

all that matters is there is an element in the atmosphere that absorbs the energy of the UV radiation!

like i said earlier, lack of ozone equals one of two things.. lack of oxygen(highly unlikely) or lack of radiation (which is caused by the magnetosphere)

Because that's not how it works. So what happens is when you have 3 o2 molecules. UV rays hits one of them splits it causing the O atoms to bond to each of the other two molecules leaving you with 2 o3 molecules.

Well the reverse is also true. When a UV ray hits an O3 molecule it can take an o atom off and cause it to bond to o2 molecules. Get it?

It's a cycle.

o2+o2+o2+UV=o3+o3

Likewise

o3+o3+UV=o2+o2+o2

i get it completely, what your not getting is the point.

it doest matter which element is absorbing the uv radiation. it doesnt matter if there is an ozone layer, as the ozone is the result of radiation meeting oxygen.
