This sort of nonsense is specifically made to sucker-in people who are ignorant enough about astronomy to ask questions like the one above.
 Quoting: Menow 17033478

the point of using the glp obv is to debunk it
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17161507

You can control it yourself.
 Quoting: Astromut

it could has filters mounted to make things invisible to user eye, tought about that -?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17205831

You're paranoid. I worked on the scopes myself, there's no "nibiru filter." I wouldn't even know how to implement such a thing.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17099491

Can you provide standard true EQ coordinates for the object or relative deviations from Neptune and estimated magnitude?

Neptune true equatorial coordinates are: RA: 22h 21m 06.4s, Dec: -10°54'12" (GMT).

*
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17040667

OP, I'm still waiting for either the standard equatorial coordinates or relative deviation of the alleged object. The claimed ones are in the false format.

Sincerely, I don't expect them.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17133627

OP only conveyed what was in the vid, which Mut has
already stated were ambiguous.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16889622

I think the words "false format" are more fitting, to be honest. Well stated. Just plain wrong would be another way. In order to make it into a set of equatorial coordinates one has to make a couple of assumptions, which is why it's ambiguous, but truth be told the numbers as they're presented are not a valid set of equatorial coordinates.

Astromut, since you're an astronomy buff, do you yourself actively look for new objects, or are you just looking at things other people have found? Have you ever found anything unknown to anybody else? Just curious. hf

 Quoting: Vierkantebroek

I like to push the boundaries on satellite tracking, that's my major area of expertise within amateur astronomy. Spotting an object six inches wide from over 3300 km away? Few can say they've done that. Directly tracking and resolving ISS and the shuttle in broad daylight? I even surprised some NASA employees with that one. The objects themselves are not new or unknown, but the way in which I observed them was generally novel.

I also keep a watchful eye out for any new objects as well as planetary impacts and supernovae. I've come close to discovering a couple of supernovae, but ended up observing the galaxy a day or two before it went off.

I'm not as concerned about discovering something completely new as I am just collecting useful data, whether for historical or tracking purposes. Even if I don't find the latest, greatest asteroid threat myself, if I observe it then I can contribute additional astrometric data for determining it's orbit, which is just as important as initially finding it. You can't know for sure if a given asteroid's a real threat or not until you've collected enough astrometric data.

I do have one discovery I can claim though; I was the first to discover and report that the classified shuttle X-37 can flare up in brightness by several magnitudes for a brief moment when the lighting angle is just right.

Okay then. Here's a quote from earlier.

"I tell you what though, since I'm such a nice guy (really nice, this is going to cost me money) I'll dial in to a scope in new mexico and command it to take the shots in infrared later tonight (really tomorrow morning just before dawn since that's when it will be highest)."

Suppose we should just forget about that, chalk it up to a moment
of delusion, and vow never to dial those 2 co-ordinates, ever.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16889622

I just gave you the one image I was able to collect so far, my point is that you have to realize that since you are dealing with people of no integrity, they can simply revise what they meant by it or give out new coordinates altogether and just keep playing games.
 Quoting: Astromut

Jewitt and Luu share the 2012 Kavli prize for astrophysics with Michael Brown, of the California Institute of Technology, in Pasadena, California, who followed in their footsteps and searched the Kuiper Belt for planet-sized bodies. In 2005 he found Eris, an object about the same size as Pluto but with 27% more mass. As a result astronomers had to rethink what it is to be a "planet". The subsequent relegation of Pluto to "dwarf planet" status became worldwide news.

Well there are two parallel streaks and a faint fuzzy near the center corresponds to no known nebula, but the pattern is indicative of a plane fly-over. The faint fuzzy corresponds to the strobe light and the streaks correspond to the navigation lamps; I've seen this before in images, and though the streaks resemble satellite streaks, no satellites flew through the field of view during the time of the exposure. The pattern is that of a plane. I'll double check with an additional exposure tonight.

Speaking of David Jewitt, watch this video about 'Jumping Planets'. I thought it was interesting, but you need a lot of Kuiper Belt mass to make it work.

No, not really. That's what you see when a plane flies over with its strobe light on. Here's a similar example from the palomar sky survey, though in this case the plane also had strobes within the navigation lights that flashed in sync with the strobe in the middle.
[link to archive.stsci.edu]
This produces a round "nebula-like" object next to the streak. In the palomar example the plane was low enough to the telescope that both the streak and the strobe were defocused compared to the stars.

 Quoting: Deej

The first set are said to be of Neptune (close enough, exact coordinates will depend not only on time but location). The second set are supposedly of their "object." The problem is, they're not a valid set of coordinates, or at least not a complete set. It's nonsensical. They give no formatting references and give an insufficient amount of numbers for it to be the standard equatorial hh mm ss, +/-dd mm ss (hours, minutes, seconds, degrees, minutes, seconds) format. Am I supposed to interpret that as 00h 09m 21s, 00d 41' 00"? Or am I supposed to interpret that as 00h 09m, +21d 00' 41" with an implied 00s at the end of the RA? Those are two completely different locations.

TBar and I have already shown that these guys steal real amateurs' images, lie about it, and lie about what the images contain. These guys are the scum of the earth and everything they say is BS. They have no integrity whatsoever, if I point at one or even both of the locations and show there's nothing there, they can just weasel out of it by saying that that's not what they meant by the coordinates and come up with some other contrived formatting method. They didn't specify to begin with, they left it ambiguous so that they can change what it "means" at will to weasel out of anything I can produce from it. That's why I fight them on the matter of their actual content.

One of their latest videos that they claim is a "kuiper belt object" is in fact a video of the black eye galaxy, M64, most likely stolen from Night Skies Network where they previously stole material.

Not sure you'l see this now, but i'll try..

I had a really good look at the jpg you posted.
I count well over 30 single points of light. Not
doubled like most of the others. If I read your
explanation for the double, I have no idea why there
would be any singles, except for appearring or disappearingduring during the exposure when the glitch occured.
If so I'm supprised at the number of 30 plus. Or am
I way off base with that logic.

Astromut - I accept and welcome your critique of Planet X related issues - but why do you think the sun has been so gosh darn bright?

There was a nasa article a couple years back which said that the sun was pumping more of its energy into UV rather than visible in recent years.

Any idea why the sun is doing this? I know there are a bunch of tin-foil hat types that speak of Nibiru but is it that far out to assume that the sun is being affected by an outside force? I was just curious as to what Astromut has to say about it.
