The point is that politicians fudge the numbers by saying that anyone who volunteered in a soup kitchen, helped a sick relative, or managed to successfully scratch their butt is actually employed when they really aren't.

Only because of the idiotic way the government tracks the rate of unemployment. Sure it'll go down only because a large chunk of people will fall off of their charts used to calculate unemployment. A little dishonest don't ya think? The big story here is that they thought there was going to be enough people to drop off the list this time to lower unemployment, but it didn't happen. If the government took the total amount of people out of work the real number would be closer to 20%.

If the Government charts show unemployment at 8.2% you need to add 15-21% to that to get the correct number.
