I have been arguing with your guys for almost 12 hours today.

Nobody has been able to produce a single piece of verifiable proof that any rap artist has a truly classical background in music.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1563193

First you said that none are classically trained and you were proven wrong so you've changed it to none are trained in classical music and if and when you're proven wrong about that you will change your argument again.

You're either a really bad troll or really good at being a twat.

In less than 12 hours this debate breaks down into threats of violence from the rap community.

I rest my case. Rap is a cultural disease. Rap has created a generation or two of folks incapable or reason beyond violence, sex and drugs.

Attention all, attention all. This man... Apparently has the right to dictate what music others can listen to.

Remember, when the government tells you what you can or can't do, it is bad. But when this guy tells you it's definitely legitimate.

I think the problem is more related to bad parenting being a cultural disease. Parents should steer kids away from rap that pushes the pimpin life style. There are lots of positive rappers out there to provide balance. I'm not a rap fan but I appreciate the artists that go against the grain of demoralizing our society.

The corruption of our society by rap music has been going on for a couple generations now. Many parents think rap is fine since they grew up with it.

Our society becomes worse and worse as rap popularity skyrockets. Pastor Manning and Brandt Morain discuss this issue in the interview. They are exactly correct.

Name one thing about rap that you won't find in other genres.

popcorn
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15152757

An abject lack of talent.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1563193

That's entirely a personal opinion, do you actually have a point to make ?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15152757

It's not an opinion it's a provable fact. In fact, I'll prove it to you now.

Truly good musical talent requires several things:
1. Ability to play an instrument or sing.
2. This ability requires precision execution in terms of intonation, meter and tempo.

If you master these things, which take years of study and practice, then you can call yourself a talented musician.

Rap eliminates all these requirements thus allowing any hack to call himself a recording artist.

Rap music requires no ability to play an instrument. Rap requires no ability to play with proper intonation. Rap requires no ability to play with precise tempo or meter. Rap requires no ability to sing.

Like Brandt Morain's song says,

"I could've spent my money on some lessons and learned, to play real music like the pro's that I've heard. But that's too hard so I got a drum machine and I paid a producer to punch the right keys"

What Op says is relative and subjective anyway.

I can make a case about any genre of music.

Don't like it don't listen. Period.

I do agree that alll main stream "rap" is a bunch of demonic conditioning anyway.but so is a lot of other genres as well.

That why I listen to underground hip hop.

Lowkey, logic, immortal technique, shai linne, Steven the levite, eshon burgundy, Timothy brindle, S.O., vendetta kings, hazakim, diabolic, etc....

Pastor manning and his lemmings better check the fruit. I become all things for alll men for the sake of saving some.

Please for a fair shake, look up shai linne, hazakim, believin Stephen, Stephen the levite, eshon burgundy, r swift, God's servant, S.O., bizzle, Lavoisier, sevin, sevensandman, Timothy brindle, L418 gospel rap, evangel, christcentric, secta 7, etc...

But then again those listed are not considered "rap" acts.
