I've heard all this before, and I ask again, what does it matter? It doesn't mean anything unless you can use this knowledge in some meaningful way, no?

that way it isn't a fight at all- it's a passive switching on- so no karmic kickback for doing things grubby old style - hurrah

True enough. I understand and appreciate what you are saying, but many have come to this realization without such symbology or things that are so esoteric and cryptic. Do we really need to build pyramids and temples in line with the constellation of Orion's Belt to understand what you just described, AC? Do we really need some crazy dude posing with his elbows like that? Do we really need the "secret handshake? The very fact that the information is cryptic and not public domain shows that it is not benevolent in nature but only caters to a select few, which is opposite of the sense of "connection" and selflessness that you purport it to represent. If it were a light of love, it would spread like a plant flowers and blooms, not hiding in the dark with symbols, afraid of being recognized.
If all this is to teach one to be a better person and work with the more positive light within us and not go down the dark path, then why is it not simply stating that? Why is it left up to interpretation? It is because it is not clear, and that is the one thing that everybody can agree upon. So I have to say that I don't agree with you when you claim that that is what it is about.
Pyramids, masons, constellations, checkerboards, serpents representing the infinite? Seems to me that there is more to this than meets the eye, and is all embedded in different schools of thought from ancient times. But, again, I pose the question, how can this knowledge be truly used, other than being as meaningful as a stop sign or a green light on a road? They have more meaning and actually do affect the world around them. Much more so than the words "as above so below". It is nothing more than shorthand for a ying/yang symbol.
I get the whole checkerboard floor of the masons representing "base consciousness" and how that is the animal mind, the base frequency, the easily controlled simpleton, and the masses at large. I get the idea of raising consciousness, the pillars of Jachin and Boaz, and the rites to ascend to illumination. But once you understand this, it is just insight, not super powers. And, by rights, everyone should have this insight, not a few old white dudes in lodges. Then, that raises the question, if there aren't any super powers to be derived from such knowledge, then how exactly is it "used for evil"?
I'm challenging you guys here, come on, hit me with something more. "Enlighten me" here... Am I going to levitate if I put a pyramid symbol on the bottom of my shoes? No. Can I read your thoughts using my pineal gland? C'mon guys, but this is a lot of symbols that people want to remain cryptic so they can go "oooo, look at me and how secretive I am!", and "I must know something special that nobody else does and I'm not going to let you forget that!" Pure egoic garbage, and the antithesis of love, community, growth, and unity. Until you can shed any "light" on this, I'm going to have to say this is a modern BS interpretation of something nobody here truly understands the meaning of, much less the "super powers" behind it, if any even exist. I'm looking for some evidence here...
