Speaking of "The Dude", here is my analysis...
I hate to analyze this one.
The opening scene shows two balls and a pin. Ok... we get it. We now know what the pin means.
Notice the women have 'Pin Horns'?
Think beasts in Revelation.
Also... there is Masonic symbolism everywhere.
So... if 'The Dude' represents the ball rolling down the aisle... what do the women represent?
What does he *really* see when he looks up the dresses?
The 'pins' on the women's heads float by.
Notice he gives a look of shock and surprise and turns back around.
What does he, as the ball, crash into? That's a lot of pins he's giving 'head' to.
