DHS Warning of ... Hurricanes…Focus on the need to be prepared.

DHS is so stupid.

I was actually EMBARASSED by the DHS gate/wall whatever it was going through US customs in Canada - had a bigass seal, a desk, flags - way overboard. I didn't know weather to stop throw up my arm and yell "sieg heil" or just bust out laughing.

I love my country, but am terribly disappointed in our government.

Same here. Came through US Customs coming back to the US from Nova Scotia last October. I was SHOCKED. All I could think of was the Stasi. Amazing. Disappointment doesn't even BEGIN to cover it. Young people don't even KNOW or REALIZE how much has "changed". For the WORSE. And it is NOT going to get any better.

I remember the weather channel just saying that it won't even be a very strong hurricane season, despite the early activity. How they came upon this answer is beyond me.

But, if we prep than we are terrorists....

I was just thinking the same thing. They are really putting a lot of time and effort into being prepared. On the one hand, that is all great and good, but on the other hand, it seems a little overkill, and with everything else going on just serves to validate sometime big coming down the pike.

My husband saw a link on DRUDGE this morning that was talking about some state on the coast wanting to make accurate weather forecasting and flood warning illegal.

I tried to find the article and it was no where to be found. The closest I could get was something on wunderground.com and another site talking about funding for NOAA.

He doesn't make stuff like this up -- he was the one who told me about the DHS warning about hurricanes yesterday.

I linked it all together and bam, my thread was deletd. I guess I touched a nerve somewhere. Just wish I knew which nerve.

BTW my thread referenced corexit ... and a prediction made by userid: joshua flynn on another forum back in Feb 2011.

Only if you are buying and/or hording a large amount of weapons and ammunition, gunpowder, chemicals that can be used to create explosives etc, and have a history of posting hate-filled rants online...

Otherwise... they will leave you alone, and in fact encourage you to be prepared for every possible disaster.

The House of Representatives is debating the Full Year Continuing Resolution Act (H.R. 1) to fund the federal government for the remainder of fiscal year 2011. The Republican leadership has proposed sweeping cuts to key programs across the climate change, clean energy, and environmental spectrum. They have also decided that accurate weather forecasting and hurricane tracking are luxuries America can no longer afford.

I swear I seen something like if you have more than 3 weeks of food, that was a condition that you are a domestic terrorist.

Along with the all of the other stuff I mentioned, that could be red flags for the feds...

Honestly, set aside your fear of "big brother" and consider preparations that include common sense approaches and purchases and you will have no problems.

Of course people need to be prepared. Look at Katrina. Days without help, New Orleans degenerated into chaos, police shooting people who attempted to escape the city...door to door fire arm confiscation.

I'm NOT prepared, I'm not going to prepare.. there's no point. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

All I got is a cell phone, the number to the nearest FEMA camp and a light snack.

Prepare, .... but not TOO much. lol

Someone changed the policy of spraying up weather related "natural disasters" a few months ago. We had a very quiet tornado season, only moderate amounts of chemtrail spraying and reasonable rainfall. Chances are the larger hurricanes will be deflected away from the US.

Just to let you know, the forum has quite the anti-thesis against me. The thread was probably deleted because it mentioned my name.
