Does anyone have an idea as to what this is?

[link to tinypic.com]

The reason I ask is I have seen this since I was very young. When I would go to bed at night I would watch it fly around my room .. but I can see it if I close my eyes, too. The yellow circle spins constantly, and the little speckles around it follow it like a tail kind of ..but, the yellow circle is not always there and just the little speckles fly around, and they are more dense than the colors around it. It has always been very comforting to watch. When the yellow circle appears, it flies through the center of the "tail" and comes to front, and the "tail" comes back together. There have been times when the yellow spinning circle flies directly (or feels like) it flies directly at my face really fast. It startles me when it does that. I stopped seeing it from about the age of 10 to 30 and didn't remember it. But, around 30 years old I started seeing it again, and instantly remembered it from childhood. I had a sense of seeing an old friend again. It doesn't respond to me, like if I ask it to fly here or there .. so it doesn't seem to interact with my thoughts or verbal communication. It just flies around. I can't force myself to see it when I am not seeing it, and I can't NOT see it when it is there. I'm just curious as to what it is or if anyone else sees stuff like this and/or has any ideas as to what it is. The picture is bigger than what I see, and I'm not really sure what is inside the yellow circle because it is always spinning, but it seems like something is inside.

It has been suggested it is a "guide." However, as I said, it doesn't respond to my questions or if I ask it to do anything. It does seem to interact with me infrequently when it flies directly at me (this has only happened twice that I can remember).

I have been seeing it again since I was around 30 .I'm 46 now. At the time I started seeing it again, I was having what I thought might be psychic visions. I thought "psychic visions" because a few of the things I saw actually happened (and many did not). But, that is not something that happens anymore, but I still see this thing.

I'm really curious as to what this is -- so, if anyone sees something similar, or knowledge of what it is, I'd really appreciate your input.

Thanks!

Re: Do you have any Paranormal abilities  . . . ?
A few years back I was waiting for a bus late at night trying to get to a train station to get the last train. I was at a point in my search for the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth where I was doing a fair bit of energy conservation and consciousness raising as suggested by Gurdjieff.

I decided rather than being stressed out by the late bus and maybe missing the train I'd do a bit of standing meditation and make like the bus stop. Giving zero energy output and focussed on a point, in the zone, so to speak.

A gang of teenagers having a rolling play fight up the street, came up on the bus stop from behind and one of them must have taken a running kung fu kick at the middle of the bus stop. The wall of the metal bus stop I had my shoulder blades touching. As they did this and carried on up the side of the bus stop and then across the end in front of me, a ray of energy shot up from my solar plexus region into my brain and out my eyes. Starting with the first, I started at their head and went down to their feet with the ray. As I did this each one of them stopped shouting and fighting and calmly walked away. One after another until they all walked away in silence. The whole thing took maybe five second.

I didn't decide to do anything I was still in the quiet zone with a silent mind. I merely observed.

I've never heard anything like this from anyone else. Boy was I surprised.

It has been suggested it is a "guide." However, as I said, it doesn't respond to my questions or if I ask it to do anything. It does seem to interact with me infrequently when it flies directly at me (this has only happened twice that I can remember).

I'm really curious as to what this is -- so, if anyone sees something similar,
or knowledge of what it is, I'd really appreciate your input.

Thanks!

I've just always called it "my swooshie thing." I was a kid when I first started seeing it. :) I've also wondered if it was just something my eyes do -- like floaters -- but, I have not been able to find any physiological comparisons for it.
