When the cabbage patch kids dolls were a rage my wife was a collector of dolls . . . she indicated she wanted one . . . we were in Oklahoma City and there were none to be had . . . except for a porcelain one with a $200.00 dollar price tag . . . far beyond our ability because my wife was in Nursing School . . .

I went into the Base Exchange at Tinker AFB the had been collecting tickets for a drawing for a cloth Cabbage Pstch Doll for one week . . .

When I walked in they announced the drawing was in five minutes . . . something overwhelming told me to submit a ticket . . . which I never do . . . I did . . . the large box of tickets was full . . . the drawing was made and my ticket was drawn . . . I felt bad when all the little girls were sad thy did not win . . . but this grown man took it and gave it to my wife for Xmas four days later . . .
