A few years back I was waiting for a bus late at night trying to get to a train station to get the last train. I was at a point in my search for the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth where I was doing a fair bit of energy conservation and consciousness raising as suggested by Gurdjieff.

I decided rather than being stressed out by the late bus and maybe missing the train I'd do a bit of standing meditation and make like the bus stop. Giving zero energy output and focussed on a point, in the zone, so to speak.

A gang of teenagers having a rolling play fight up the street, came up on the bus stop from behind and one of them must have taken a running kung fu kick at the middle of the bus stop. The wall of the metal bus stop I had my shoulder blades touching. As they did this and carried on up the side of the bus stop and then across the end in front of me, a ray of energy shot up from my solar plexus region into my brain and out my eyes. Starting with the first, I started at their head and went down to their feet with the ray. As I did this each one of them stopped shouting and fighting and calmly walked away. One after another until they all walked away in silence. The whole thing took maybe five second.

I didn't decide to do anything I was still in the quiet zone with a silent mind. I merely observed.

I've never heard anything like this from anyone else. Boy was I surprised.
