Music today sucks so bad

I am embarrassed by it. I have two kids and whenever I turn on the radio, 90% of the time it's just plain BAD if it's modern music, crappy electropop, but the worst thing is how empty the music is, how devoid of any value it is, I guess it really reflects on what society has become. A bunch of uber-controlled sheeple obsessed with sex, power and money, utterly narcissitic and superficial to boot.

The last year or two have been the very worst. Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Katy Perry, etc. Singing about trashy subjects, "pushing the envelope" with sex when the envelope has already been shredded a long time ago, they are boring, overhyped, overrated and their empty music attempts to fill the empty souls of the youth today. I'm still in my 30s but I am old enough to recognize how soulless and manufactured all this crap is. It makes 80s music seem truly terrific.

Stop blaming music and the radio. No one forces you to listen to a damn thing. You have CDs and MP3s for a reason.

You people think music sucks so bad because all you ever did was listen to the radio, top 40, and whatever msm pushes. Fuck you all, it's because of fuckers like you we live in the world we're in.
