Does Anyone Know Why Statues of Moses have horns? Check this out!

If you will look up the word 'Aleph' you will see that it is the first letter in the Hebraic alphabet. It's symbol is of a 'bull'. I wonder if the people at the bottom of the mountain worshiped the 'golden calf' while Moses was busy with God because that was the symbol of God and they made it out of gold because they were giving what they had (as if we would give our whole savings account because we don't have gold).
I'm just rambling my thoughts outloud, but I think this guy might be onto something. The transit of Venus this next week could mean something very significant! I'm hoping!!!

Oh I definitely understand about the whole statue issue and false Gods. I just wonder if the people in that day did that out of their heart, not knowing that they were doing something wrong because they hadn't recived the commandments yet.

Horns used to be symbolic of wisdom.

Actually the Hebrew word used in the Bible is karan and means horns of light and has nothing to do with the bull's horns of the so-called Taurus constellation, an idolatry condemned by the very horned Moses. Up in some mountains, airplanes or in ships there's a rare electric phenomena called St. Elmo's fire which is green-bluish light. Moses was asked to remove his sandals. That fire sometimes bursts out from animals' horns or ears sometimes. The context of the Hebrew text deals with the man wearing a veil. Of course, Hebrew scholars understand there are many layers in the Torah and that veil could mean not to reveal all inner enlightment to common people.... like O.P.

The horns were to show his ancestry...He had the blood of the gods in him...He was a Demi-god...a Nephilim as many call them...but a chosen one that would lead his people/blood line to freedom...Something few knew about...and hid it in art to protect the line...

Moses has nothing to do with the Zodiac and as Christians we should stay away from such things . The future cannot be predicted by the stars !

THE EGYPTIAN BOOK OF THE DEAD TALKS OF HORUS THE OLD ONE AND HORUS THE PROTECTOR. I BELIEVE THAT HORUS THE OLD ONE IS MOSES AND HORUS THE PROTECTOR IS HIS BROTHER AARON THE HIGH PRIEST.

THE EGYPTIAN BOOK OF THE DEAD TELLS US THAT BASTET THE DAUGHTER OF ISIS WAS A NURSE MAID WITH HER AND YET MIRIAM WHO HELPED LEAD THE PEOPLE OUT OF EGYPT WAS A NURSE MAID WITH HER MOTHER.

THEREFORE AS OSIRIS THE FATHER OF HORUS WAS LINKED TO THE BULL IT WOULD BE CORRECT FOR MOSES TO HAVE HORNS IN HIS STATUES BEING THE SON.

Good job psych ! Sometimes the answer is so simple just requires basic astronomy and they were good back then too, The ancient Hebrews were accomplished astrologers, They had no calendars back then like we do so they had to follow the stars.

The astrology answer is repeated but people just can't understand ancient concept. Why would they worship LEO constellation if even if you hook fingerpicked stars among many others, they don't resemble any lion but a hanger? Taurus... even with imagination doesn't resemble a bull but barely some "horns". Osiris' "body" looks whatever. People seem unaware those same places were seen different.y by different cultures, Chinese, Mayan, Peruvian and very often always hum-animal or animal representations. They were NOT worshipping the houses of their gods but THEIR GODS which happen to be humanimal combinations! That and not the stars were the very reason they associated their gods with the stars,because they thought the gods were in those places. Then when someone comes and talls about archetypes quoting Jung... for the ancient people these gods were real but not in flesh and bone. Under the influence of hallucinogenic stuff in dark sacred and secret chambers they could see them and the 2D hieroglyphs come alive. Of course in times of Moses the worshipping was not the lamb as in times of Abraham but once again this was not because of the stars but THE CHERUBIM WINGED CALF dwelling in those interdimensional realms. As a matter of fact these astrologers researched more about NEBULAS they would've known better the existence of a lion profile,the fox as seen from above,the heart,the horseshoe, the crucified hand, the horse, the stampide, the unicorn, the lobster,the oddities in Orion, etc , etc, etc. Christians just repeat the "explanations" the lion means justice (since when a lion has to be a symbol of that if they kill the cubs and are lazy compared with lioness), man represents love (in spite the fact since the beginning of mankind history man has been murdering!), eagle represents wisdom (why on earth?).... and at least the bull can be a symbol of strenght or endurance!
