Immediately upon this story breaking folks started trying to build a connection between these "zombie attacks" and flesh eating bacteria. Around the time this mode of research started picking up steam the bath salt story came out. For all the years this shit has sold legally on the market I think if it were as bad as it is depicted than you would have heard of it before now. This is nothing more than a "this is your brain on drugs" PSA that is taking advantage of another situation to divert attention while still furthering as many government projects as possible.
