people can barely understand the bible, it was written in another time for ancient people that have long gone. yet we are supposed to learn from it? this logic makes no sense. and if you translate it into newer english then you declare it NOT to be the word of god, because the word of god cannot be changed. and its been changed countless of times. its a big giant heaping mess, so what ive decided is.......i dont know anything. simple, logical, THE TRUTH.

Re: Why is there Cannibalism in the Bible?
Why do people always forget that God does not make man do anything that is not already in his heart? Cannibalism is of Satan. The literal spawn of Satan used to eat men. They were the giants of old. They were also cannibals. You can tell evil by its fruits.

Why are so many people constantly trying to knock God down? Somehow I get the sense that most people on here are constantly trying to start a problem with those of faith. Why is that? What is it in itself that causes this drive? Truthfully it comes from only one place and it will always fail.

i dont buy that argument either. "its not from god" of course its from god, everything is from god if there is one. god created satan and the universe, everything that has happened he has allowed to happen by simply letting the situation exist in the first place. god allowed this "cannibal" attacks to happen, he created the people and the place and the time. what your saying is god is just sitting back and letting it happen, but he is letting it happen.

Why do they mention bath salts in the bible?

Bilbo 16:18 "I will take these bath salts into my nose; everyone who passes by me shall taste like the finest of sweetmeats and a fondue of rendered baby fat shall be the best part of waking up; and the flesh of mine neighbor shall smell as sweet as a saints saintly feet, of which i shall eat for god said Let there be Meat!
I color the world in the hues of my Madness!

An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded.

The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom...for we never know what is enough until we know what is more than enough.

No what I am saying is that man decides to eat other people. God does not decide to make man eat other people. Be careful in how you word things. You make it sound as though God is making someone eat another person. Really? Is that what you think? What nonsense!

Everything is from God. That is true. But given that God is super natural, which is more than natural, He prefers the natural order of things. That is why the laws of nature exist. Think about that for a second.

Now if a man is starving and someone drops dead before he does, do you think he might be tempted to eat the flesh of the dead person just to stay alive a little longer? Is that not a natural response for a living creature to fight and do anything to survive? Is that not a natural occurrence? However, eating each other is not a natural phenomenon and therefore you do not see people just eating dead folks do you?

And to your last point, Yes. God is sitting back and watching this whole ordeal. He interacts here and there, when necessary. But, this thing is like a simulation or a computer program. A programmer does not write a program with rules that govern the program so that he can manipulate everything once it is running. Nope. Quite the opposite actually. Once the program is running and objects are instantiated, then they interact with each other based on their attributes and methods, e.g. behavior. So think of God as the Grand Architect. He is in total control yet He is a hands-off kind of guy unless someone or something is trying to destroy what He created.

Re: Why is there Cannibalism in the Bible?
The acts of those in the Old Testament do not reflect the way we are to be living today. We are taught to love one another; treat our neighbors as ourselves. IF we heeded this advise then we would not be looking at today's times in the same light as we are now. Jesus took all our sins to the cross with Him. Although Satan is very much alive and affecting today's culture if we followed Christ we could crush Satan out of existence.

this is the most disturbing fact about it. it's cannibalism

Not quite correct at all.

The blood is Jesus blood and we do not drink his blood.

We drink wine as He drank wine and said, do this in remembrance of me.

I could give you the whole scenario, but it does not matter and is a waste of time.

Jer 19:8 "I will make this city desolate and a hissing; everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss because of all its plagues.

Jer 19:9 "And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and everyone shall eat the flesh of his friend in the siege and in the desperation with which their enemies and those who seek their lives shall drive them to despair."

Why does the LORD allow this 'plague' to come? Because people turned their backs from GOD and followed other 'gods' and 'idols.' People turned to evil ways instead of to the LORD.

.....Look at Jeremiah 19:4-5

Evil is being unleashed.

If you are an intercessor, then pray repentance for your country.

NOW is the time to 'stand in the gap' for your family, friends and nation.

The only protection is the NAME OF JESUS from a heart of faith in HIM.

what a bunch of idiots. Just as he said he would destroy this temple and raise it in 3 days. HE NEVER meant the temple. He was referring to what all christians know. YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE of the HOLY SPIRIT. HE WOULD DESTROY HIS BODY and RAISE IN 3 dayS.

We are born INTO THE FLESH WORLD.. WE TAKE ON HIS FLESH (WHOS FLESH??) GODS FLESH. When we are born into a new spirit (BORN AGAIN), we are BORN INTO HIS spirit and his flesh. WE die our old life and become a new life, just as he died from this life to become new. ("look ma, all things are become new!").. The blood of christ is the blood that casts OUT DEVILS. WE SPEAK to the enemy in the NAME OF THE BLOOD of jesus christ. HIS BLOOD has HOLY power. WE partake in HIS BLOOD thru our WORDS and thru our ACTIONS to cast out devils in HIS NAME.

wake up sheep... wake up..

The Time Will Come...There Will Be No More Evil!

Genesis 1:1 (Perfection)

Genesis 1:2 (waste, void and darkness) Result, From Fall of Lucifer / satan! 1/3 of The angels)

Genesis 1:3 (Light) = Regeneration...Re-Working of The Elements...

Genesis 3:1 (Evil is allowed To Test Man kind...Serpent /Satan) Fall of Adam and Eve, Happened in Genesis 3:6

Judgment Began...Genesis 3:7

GOD, WILL RENEW ALL GOOD THINGS...Revelation Ch. 21

Then I saw a new sky (heaven) and a new earth, for the former sky and the former earth had passed away (vanished), and there no longer existed any sea.
2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband;
3 Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God.
4 God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.
5 And He Who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new. Also He said, Record this, for these sayings are faithful (accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy) and true (genuine).

I don't think that was his point, that people shouldn't study it, but rather that it's meaning is so fucked due to time interpretation, no one can really be sure that they've gotten the correct point, and that so many different people come to different point. So the best thing is not to assume you're absolutely right, and rather keep an open mind.

I known Spanish and English, and a Spanish speaking person is never, no matter how much they study is going to comprehend English the way I do, and an English speaking person is never going to understand Spanish I do. You kind of need to have been born into two different languages to understand my point. There are just things that won't translate the same. So imagine the intent of the bible.

Cannibalism was a common practice in the world the Bible was written in, that is what Jesus (somr argue raised in celtic Britain) tried to move the world away from, just as Hiawatha did the Iroqouis.

Re: Why is there Cannibalism in the Bible?
Cannibalism has been practised by civilisations all over the world since earliest history.

Youwon't findmuch detail in your history books but recent archeological findings are unearthing the terrible act.

We used to call it "Long Pig" because humans and pigs apparently taste similar.
