The daytime shots show that there is very little sky seen from that camera, so it should be no surprise that the moon appears in very few shots.

i wonder what direction it faces

this other camera catches the moon setting, although too cloudy last night, so it isn't in lots of shots like it usually is

it is looking more like the moon now, isn't it

although when the moon shows in a volcano cam, it is usually in many shots, over a couple of hours' ie the 'rim' camera
