Hi Tauranga, It is the moon. Has been like that for years and every now and then...PLANET X !!!!!. The camera has a long exposure.. which is why it is so bright.. and the camera has been damaged by the volcanic fumes and has a red tint. If you look at the daytime pics you can see a pink tint. Sad it is not something more dramatic...  .
