A question for Christians: Is there any chance God would answer this prayer? | |

Considering that God created time, he is not subject to it, and could manipulate it in any way he saw fit. So if I were to ask him to let me wake up one morning and restart my life from maybe 1996 or so, is there any chance he would answer? Just curious to hear other opinions on this. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17376179 ROFL! WTF? point to be made here: why would God go back in time? From the beginning He knew exactly how this would all play out. Why then would He time jump? why would you want to start again from 1996? If you've already fucked up your life this far, why would God send you back to fuck it up again? thats not even to mention the various other lives of other people you may or may not fuck up if you went back! |

Try living the rest of our life as if it was back then, it is never too late. If you break my wings, I will just find a cloud and learn to fly again. The Lord will catch you when you fall or teach you to fly! May the footprints I leave lead you to BELIEVE. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 17340118 Switzerland 06/04/2012 09:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "Contrary to the ideas of so many believers, prayer is not a matter of expressing our grievances to God. The Creator has given us all the means necessary, both material and spiritual, to look after our own needs and even those of others, and prayer should simply serve to help us rise in ourselves to discover those means. One might say that God already did His part for us long ago. It is not for Him to give us what we lack, but for us to search for it. What is the point of asking Him for health or the affection of others if we continue to live in a way that makes us ill or disagreeable? And what good is it to pray for peace if, wherever we go, we continue to carry a veritable battlefield within us? Prayer is, undoubtedly, an expression of faith, but faith must be understood as the force that incites human beings to surpass themselves, to transcend themselves. There are two kinds of faith: one is inspired by effort and activity, and the other is inspired by laziness. This faith, which should rather be called naivety, is useless, and even harmful." |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17376179 Yes, he will answer but you need to choose the right god. For example Shiva whose also the god of Kaal meaning time will answer and send you back, literally. He would also grant you several other supernatural abilities but Jehova wont. So pick your god first and then pray. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17322716 probably fall for all the adverts too Take one look at the world around you, and tell me me you came from a big bang (well maybe your parents had a great night). In the Bible God states, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end". Look at just the miracles that makes up your body, and mind, and tell me it is by accident. I do not care how far you travel into the universe, once you reach a stopping point, just like coming to a door, open it, and there will be something on the other side. I do believe even those of you that do not believe in God will have the opportunity to see for yourselves just what will be in the next chapter of your lives. Even if you do not believe in life after death, what good does it do you to belittle people that do. Live life to it's fullest, and with happiness. What a sad life it would be to go around with doubt, and worry. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2312772 United States 06/06/2012 06:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Alot of people are looking for a specific day for a rapture. Christ said he is the alpha and omega. That is the beginning and end. Even the demons know there is a appointed time. They may not know the hour and day, but they know it is nigh. If you control the beginning and end, then you control the whole process. If we are in a sinful realm, then three dimensional fabrication before us is a mirage because by nature satan is the great deceiver. The mirage will end, and I think when it comes time everyday in this cursed time, will in fact be replaced by true light and life from our creator. In essence, the rapture will encompass everyday of this curse for the saved. When you are made anew, the temptation to try and correct something in this pitiful life and the regret that goes with it will erode and eternal love is embraced as promised in Corinthians 1:13. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17376179 first of all, God answers every prayer but... it must be according to His will and it must be within the parameters of our physical world on some levels. miracles are possible. but some are not. for example, you can't pray for the sky to turn green with purple polka dots. however Jesus said "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you. (Luke 17:6) here are the answers to prayer... 1 yes 2 no 3 wait |

Do you seriously see God encouraging those things? 1 John 1–3._ 1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. @Starknight921 |
