Australians against the CARBON TAX, please read, help is here... We can stop it now.

I have asked some of my friends (the sheeple) what they think of this tax.

(UN)suprisingly - majority think it is a good idea to save the planet.

You see this Green Movement is Australia came out of AGENDA-21 formented in the West made famous by AL Gore. IT has ZERO to do with saving the planet. fcking ZERO.

Just look at the energy saver light bulbs. You think it saves you that much energy? Power Bills Doubles every 2 years YET we are using 50% less energy than years ago. People are struggling with bills and they are turning to solar or simply switching off.

Look at water consumption- we are using 70-80% less water. we hv eliminated car-washing and lawn-watering from our routine. Are water bills going down? No. They are going up.

Look at the Energy Saver 'Green' Bulbs again. They CONTAIN mercury. UK coucil workers are no longer picking up any garbage with broken bulbs. Imagine the amount of Mercury in the Landfills and dumps in the future.

Bloody Sheeple as usual. Hope global warning comes and wipe them out.

I think you need to understand where you are, an inappropriate post? That really depends on many things this site has swearing on it everywhere if you haven't noticed.
And secondly, if someone is giving abuse on the internet, and you want it to stop?

why doesn't PHONEY TONY actually tell the truth for once and tell us the chances of repealing the carbon tax is zero.

And as you point out, this site does have some considerably colorful language associated to it, however that doesent mean that on my thread that I have to accept it as appropreiate.

On all my other threads, after a short period where I find that it has been necessary to set acceptable standards for posters, all the language stops and those that remain quite openly express their grattitude for those standards being in place, and then the particular thread becomes a truely meaningful and worthwhile expenditure of time for all that remain.

So now I hope we can all move forward in a more productive manner.

Lets also take this opportunity to put this "carbon Dioxide" thing into complete perspective.

Now some of my figures can be challenged for accuracy as I dont posses the qualifications to make this example scientifically accurate, but I dont need to.

The estimated quantities and volumes simply speak for themselves.

So, here goes, as Australians reading this for the most part lets select your average decent sized Gum tree.

Lets say that it weighs around ten tonnes.

Of that ten tonnes around 60% of it is water, so if we remove the water we are left with about 4 tonnes of material.

So, now lets remove all the minerals etc that this tree extracted out of the ground in order to grow.

That would maybe amount to about a few hundred kilograms at best, but for the argument lets say half a ton.

So whats left?

It weighs around 3 and a half tonnes, doesent it?

Well here we go, its carbon, thats right good old basic element carbon, and essential to just about all life on this planet.


Now, lets step back a little and lets let nature do its job, the tree lives, then it dies.

What happens?

It slowly rots and breaks down into those minerals, gives up its water content and...the carbon oxidizes, ie it rots.

It combines with oxygen out of the air and forms...carbon dioxide.

One carbon atom combined with two atoms of oxygen.

What happens next is that the tree next door takes in some water, some minerals from the soil and then it absorbs CARBON DIOXIDE in a process called photosynthesis by using the sun, and it keeps the carbon to become a growing tree and the oxygen it gives to us to breathe and live.

Thats during the day time, during the night that tree will ever so slightly reverse that process, but its so minor as to be almost negligible.

Ok after that biology lesson, one simple question.

Why are we being taxed for a perfectly natural process that is absolutely essential for all life on earth to exist.

And before I hear any greenies having a go at me over this, please consider the fact that this planet has had much warmer periods than we currently have and life flourished, so much so that the Romans grew grapes in Scotland, and the Vikings farmed Greenland, before the ice drove them away.

Those are scientificaly proven facts, ask any archeolegist.

Right, can you read? VOLUNTARY Emissions Trading Scheme? Did you get that? Like in the US, the Chicago Climate Exchange, if you want to do it, you can, do you get that yet?

When he has publicly given his blood oath that he will do it?
