I know what you're saying about the senate, about completely withdrawing the destruction tax.
But if the coalition gets in within the next year they will have such a majority they will easily be able to block everything to do with it occurring until its repealed.

As you so aptly point out, the Lower House sends its Bills to the Upper House for ratification.

With a new Lower House there wont be much being sent upstairs, unless some serious deals can be negotiated.

Till then, if that the best we've got, well we will have to live with it, now wont we?

And as another poster has also observed, the next elections will be fought on this matter by a factor so high the it will see the Tax repealed.

This matter will either win or lose the election based on these assurances alone.

Has anyone heard that technically Queensland is no longer legally a State of Australia.

Unconstitutionally that happened a few years ago, but also technically the British Privy Council also no longer sees itself as our connection to the monarchy and our constitution has been so bastedized that it would take the High Court a Century to get our constitution back into a consistant continum of administration, which just wont happen.

Peter Beaty created what was known as the Brigalow corporation which became the owner of the state, now Brigalow has been dissmantled.

Technically every person and all their property are now chattells of the state of the Quensland government, even their laws prevent anyone from being able to prosecute any government department or employee.

Their govenor is no longer the Queens representative of the state of Queensland, that govenor is now an employee of Queensland's government.

Kevin Rudd even referred to Queensland in one of his addresses as the republic of Queensland, its just that it didnt click with many people so it wasnt publically persued.

From an earlier post I made that you obvoiusly havent bothered to read, here it is again for you...

But let me say this, I have first hand daily knowledge of just those distressing stories, and if you care to check with our "Meals on wheels" charity, it wasnt all that long ago that they publically appealed for more volunteers.

Why?

They said that it was taking them longer to deliver their meals as their delivery volunteers were having to wait longer for the pensoiners to get out of bed to receive their deliveries.

I dont make colorful stories up for the hell of it, this is a real and ongoing situation bought about by rising power prices and we have even more on the horizon, the reason... that bloody minded and murderous CARBON TAX.

Oh and by the way, those pensioners are your parents, you know, the people who love you and cared for you and bought you up as best they could, giving you an education, keeping you warm and feeding you.

How will you feel when your kids start treating you like that when you dont need them, but they do need you, and you cant be bothered because your life hasnt got the time!!

Please just stop and think for a moment and try to think less about yourself and a little more about who has done what for you.

You owe them, ok?

It seems that there are some decent people still left in this country, people who can think for themselves and understand what is fair and what is not.

I genuinely hope that we never forget the sacrifices that our parents made for us all as we grew up, and that our kids have the moral concepts of what their duties really are.

And right now, this bloody minded blantant affront to all decency to all Australians has to be fought with passion, for ourselves, our kids and their kids, yet to come.

The people of this country do have an urgent need to rub our lazy and lying politicians faces in it, and demand some value for all that they take from us, and that starts now.

Visit an old peoples home and see first hand how they do NOT have a life.

They are simply fed and washed, they make baskets, watch TV in rec rooms, share bathrooms and toilets, eat whatever is served up to them, have sing alongs if they are lucky.

Most of the time and in a lot of those institutions they are little more than breathing dead people.

I shoud know, Ive nursed them.

Id love to see juliar spend a day lifting little old ladies on and off commodes, usually in a room full of others, and then spend another day cleaning and dissinfecting the pans from those commodes.

Youd see some pretty big changes in attitudes then, Id lay both arms and legs on it.

I used to work in a ward where the charge nurse and I did nothing but all the lifting, and in a day we would lift around 10 ton of elderly patients between us.

Out of bed in the morning and into the day room, then one by one to be bathed, then back to the day room, after that, onto the meal room for morning tea, then back to the day room.

After that it was back to the meal room for lunch and then back to the day room.

Then we would repeat that process all over again in the afternoons, and finally back to bed.

So, is this how you want your parents to be cared for?

Because unless you or they have managed to have a lazy $200,000 lying around so that they can live in an up market accomodation for the elderly, thats what is in store for them today.

And their nursing staff carers, well, after about ten years or so, wont want to own their backs either.

Lifting devices or not.

There is a hidden reality right under all of your noses, most are just too scared to face it or address it, theyd rather make crazy attacks to deny those realities, because they might have to face some realities that really are unpleasant.

And that would adversly impact on THEIR lives, which of course would clearly be unacceptable to them and their feelings of self importance.

Sorry for the rant, but someone has to bring these realities into the public domain, if thats me then so be it.

It is time that we all got off our backsides and did something positive, and starting with killing that bloody minded carbon tax is where these change need to begin, and thats now.

Sooner or later - they ll give u the coveted OXYGEN Tax.

Today I received another generic email requestiong my membership, however as of writing this post I have NOT had any reply to my email.

This is why I have not been posting and further promoting this particular group.

I hope that they are genuine but until I receive a reply, which is simple courtesy, I cannot in good consience continue to promote them.

I will do one thing though, and that is to ask if anyone else has an alternative and active group as I am genuinely motivated to help quash this rediculous impost on the average Australian, so please feel free to offer any helpful suggestions.

Which, is exactly why this thread exists, its all about the steady incidious loss of our rights, ever so slowly we are being censored and intruded on by the people we elect, and given we have to do that compolsarily, with a selection of only two choices Id pretty well call that a serious LACK of choice, which is slowly consuming and controling our lives right before our eyes.

I wonder how bold these high and mighty politicians would be if we didnt have compolsary elections, how secure might they feel about their jobs then, and what about "productivity analysis", we all have to face it in our work places, so why are they exempt.

I say introduce performance standards that they have to regularly meet or be penalized with pay cuts, as penalty.

Wouldnt we get a better deal then!
